Thanks that answers it. But whats wrong with the pc version i wonder? any longer and i think people will just say to the hell with it and turn their attention to mass effect 2.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same bug.  Either that or they're delaying it all for a simultaneous release like they'd originally planned.

PC: I want the DLC now

Sten: I'm sorry

PC: What?

Sten: It seemed like an appropriate thing to say

PC: But why are you sorry?

Sten: You were around on the 5th of January

PC: You didn't answer the question

Sten: I know

When did they ever plan this? I thought they were releasing the pc version and the xbox on jan 5 and then the ps3 later.

So much for "releasing the game on consoles won't affect the PC version" :?

Why do PC fans have to get stuck waiting for the consoles to catch up! lol. Did I miss anything while in the Deep Roads? Any statement on why a 360 bug delays the PC version?

If so, then read our comic. Complex Actions. That will get you a couple more hours down the road.

Just as an aside to this facinating thread. I read the whole thing last night while waiting for my daughters to 'finally' go to sleep.

Very funny, and I've bookmarked it.

I doubt they expected Dragon Age to do as well as it did,

While I agree with not releasing multiplatform etc, how can you think this? Spiritual successor to BG, possibly the greatest RPG of all time. Yeah, they didn't expect this to do well

A lot of other forums have people saying they are giving up on DA but will be getting ME2 and hoping it will be better, support wise. Pretty hard to compare the two though as there is no need to support the PS3.

There was a post a few pages back (or maybe another thread about DA2) where someone suggested that they should stick to doing it on pc and then give consoles gamers stripped down games if the market is there. This means that they can actually build a game for high end pcs without restricting themselves to console hardware limitations. I would be all for that. Without trying to start a flame war it is widely recognised that the pc version of this game is the best. More control plus the modding community. Their games have always been about the community and what can be accomplished with the toolset by players.

I know if they did that they wouldn't sell as many copies, so it is unlikely to happen. but it would be nice.

Ah, forgot that the PS3 version was going to be released behind the other two right from the start.

I am probably going to get flamed for this, at this point I don't even care.

I finally logged in to check if I had the bug and of course I do, and this lack of anything being done or information from Bioware is a level of incompetence that is unacceptable to paying customers. The fact that it has been delayed till now is proof enough, but tack on a bug that makes the game unplayable is unacceptable. If these programmers worked in any other profession and made mistakes like this they would be fired almost instantly. You can take this as a pissed off gamer who is fueling a nerd rage if you all want, I just believe that we should not be as lenient with these programmers as we have.

Actually it seems that between consoles, the PS3 is the one that's causing the least problems...

Because the real intention is to release them all at once. Its a win-win for all platforms.  They just want to make it look like one platform is gonna get it first. :bandit::whistle:

I always hold back the nerd rage myself, as I don't actually know anything about coding, developing etc etc, but I have come to the conclusion that QA departments aren't worth a paid lunchbreak and should be executed.

I think the classic, "when it's done" applies for now, it's a good safety and doesn't really mean anything.

I'm just guessing here; I'm as much in the dark as the rest of you.  I wouldn't be surprised if the bug's in both version of the DLC though; it wouldn't be the first time a 360 DLC and a PC DLC had the same bugs.

Well, we just don't know about whether there are any problems. Although Sony were blamed on the 5th of Jan (by gamers not BW) for the release date being pulled. Whether there was any truth in Sony putting Big Brother pressure on will never be known as BW would never say such a thing.

To be honest even though I have a 360 I never even considered getting DA on it (admittedly there was a moment of achievement **** thoughts)....it just lends itself to pc much better

I really think it's ready, and Bioware just went out to the bar for drinks. Reading these forum posts while hammered seems too good to pass up :D

Ditto! Totally agree with you! Though in this instance Im not sure who to blame. Bioware? MS? Either way, this reflects badly on DAO. I just hope they do get a fix to rectify this mess (especially for pple like me who downloaded the faulty DLC).

To be honest there isn't a lot else to do in Edmonton..maybe go to the mall?

I wonder why they didn't have beta testers trialling this stuff. In house Q&A is all well and good, but beta testing would surely have found some of the problems...

Anyone keen? https://jobs.ea.com/...50000000IVUNAA4

I notice the official Twitter feed doesn't say anything helpful. just "Return to Ostagar is NOW available for Xbox 360. It will be coming later today for PC users and soon for the PS3. Check Xbox Live 4 details."
