Just wondering, have you slept at all since you started posting yesterday? I'm just wondering if you're sitting at your computer with an endless supply of coffee and hitting refresh.Abriael_CG wrote...

not to mention the fact that, if the 'devs' were to state what the problem(s) are , you wouldn't understand it anyways so...........go for a walk or whatever.
I'm quite sure I'm able to understand "There is a bug in the PC version that affects X and Y" or "The PC version is ready for release, but we prefer to release it at the same time as the Xbox version" (in which case, we would at least know what to be upset about) or again "Our current roadmap is to have a week-long playtesting session before releasing the content, unless further problems arise", and so forth. Are you not?
There's no need to lay out every little technical detail to be informative. At the moment, they're not being informative at all, and that's the whole problem.Darklydreaming wrote...

You're right. They didn't intend for this to happen, but they could and should have handled communication about the problem much better than this. While delaying a product is acceptable. Delaying it two times, releasing a critically bugged version and then delaying it again, AND, on top of it all keeping paying customers pretty much in the dark for days about the situation is not that acceptable anymore.
It's not "evil", but for sure it's not a behavioir i'd define professional.

But it may have been EA and not necassarily Bioware themselves. Big companies are messed up in that way.

There is a treshold beyond which the damage has already been done. I'd say after 3 delays and a critically bugged release, that threshold has been abundantly passed. When that happens, the best way to control the damage is at least to be transparent with your customers. Losing credibility with their customer base isn't going to make their superiors one bit happy, that's for sure.

Are you seriously that upset? My lord man. it's not like you went out and spent 80 dollars on a coaster. You love the game, and you're obviously dying to play ME2; since you pre-ordered it (you wouldn't have done so if you weren't dying to play it)
This is 1 hour of extra content. Get over it. They didn't intend for this to happen. They aren't evil.
They want to give you an enjoyable experience and get paid for their hard work.
But since you are declaring not buying anything form Bioware, which is owned by EA that is a lot of games you aren't going to play. Since all the best Northamerican RPGs are made by bioware, have fun in your search.
Off topic but 2k Games and Bethesda Softworks make some pretty great RPGs. On topic though would it really make a difference if they told you why the DLC was delayed? Granted it is bothersome to hear that something you want is not going to be ready when you want it knowing the problem will not help to speed up the process any, and from the looks of it they have to spend their time constantly coming back here, I do not actually know if the people replying actually are working on the game so if I'm wrong forgive me I simply thought it was a fair assumption, to attempt to appease the community instead of fixing the issue in question.

silly me. I downloaded the patch/fix and now it's broken. No dlc. I didn't get rto. But I'm still unable to unlock all my previously unlocked specializations. Now I can re-unlock them, I suppose, or maybe not, but not the ones you have to have books to get, because those books are gone now that I bought them and used them! So, Spirit Healer is out of the question until the fix.
I just wonder, does anyone know...I don't want to read 65 pages of fighting, can I just delete the update?

I've been working for the last 25 hours. I have a deadline in the morning, and despite a problem that set my work back by quite a bit, I'm doing what It takes to still meet it.
Luckily I'm almost done, in half an hour i'll send everything in and then finally hit the sack.
The forum is keeping me company and keeping me awake. At least this whole mess is having a positive side-effect, isn't it?

Any XBOX 360 owners you can fix your game. First clear your cache to delete the patch. Now, load a save. Any save will do. Do something to unlock a class. Save your game in a new slot. Exit to dashboard and load your game. All your specializations are back!

Apparently you've not played FO3, now there's a MICROSHAFT(MS) constantly in the way!! GD POS playing at a gaming system, that I've ever heard of!!!
The simple answer........DLC by definition, if microshaft is involved, is going to be a NIGHTMARE!!!

I posted a response to this perspective on another thread and will avoid hashing through it again. Short version:
I appreciate your frustration. I, like you, am comforted by understanding things. Why things happen, what caused them, etc.
This puts us in the minority of human beings. Most people are comforted by just knowing the exact impact on them: the date, or if there is none. Knowing why or how only complicates things for them. Tell them it's a technical bug they'll ask what it was, or begin to incorrectly identify 'bugs' in existing products. Say it's a problem with a partner/vender you invite liability concerns. Any kind of answer to this effect must by its nature be incomplete; they can not convey a complete understanding of what and why without you being as involved as they are.
However upset you and I might be about the delay of this products release, keep in mind that the people at BioWare are still getting paid - hence the company is losing money by not releasing it on time. Have no doubt that whoever/whatever is responsible is going to get their appropriate spanking (not the nice kind) and that they unquestionably want to sell us the product even more than we want to buy it from them.
Yes, it is a frustraiting situation. It's the nature of technology though and it's reasonable to say that the preceeding DLCs and the game itself were released well and without real issue. This release had issue and they did the responsible thing - they delayed the release to ensure product quality before they sold it instead of selling it, earning interest on those sales while they retroactively resolved the issue.
It is important to voice your concerns as a consumer. Your dollar is your vote in support of things you value far more than your voice even. Yet when expressing those concerns it's not unreasonable, especially when saying what you want is knowledge, to take a bit of time to consider all the sides of the equation. DA:O has been a brilliant product. The steady supply of DLC outcoming and in the works and the fact that when confronted with a serious issue they errored on the side of quality product and not release for profit.... well, I struggle to find flaw in how it's been handled. To each his own though.

I'm slightly confused. I don't see the point of complaining on the forums. It achieve's nothing and when i try to find information on the DLC that has been set back there's 5 extra pages of people complaining about crap and how they are regretting pre-ordering a game... Can we just get over it and wait for it to come out and leave the forums alone so we can easily find information about the DLC and not have to read through 5 pages of crap. Sorry to put this post in for anyone else who is looking for updates on the dlc
Seconded, I found it frustrating to try and find updates from the Bioware people through all of this stuff, while entertaining it does make it difficult to get information

I think you can easily unfix it by turning your console off ever again, amirite?

In regards to the PC & PS3 players - I do hope that you get your DLC quickly. But perhaps instead of complaining that you do not have it, be thankful that you can continue to play. Those of us who have it on Xbox360 (by choice in my case) are unable to play and level.

I see your point (I for one ain't complaining, I've had no problems!) And yes sometimes complaining can cause more harm then good, but sometimes it can cause FAR more good then harm.
I haven't had this problem, but holy s*** it's a BIG problem. The more people that tell bioware that this is NOT acceptible the better.
If bioware is made up of good guys who truly care about fans, they'll do their best to resolve the issue and prevent similar problems. But for them to get an idea of how BIG the issue is, fans need to speak, and loudly.

Very ture, at this point I assure you that I will NEVER prepay for dated DLC from Bioware again. It's fine if issues come up but three times plus we're left in the dark is just ridiculous! It's sad ign got the interview first instead of the fans that visit & contribute to the forums every single day or very close to

I will continue to wait patiently for a "repair" patch for my specializations.
You don't need to wait.
Just delete your cache, load your game exit to dashboard and load again.
They should all be restored.
Also, I just shut off my 360 and they were still back when I loaded my game again.

Am I to guess that you did not reapply the patch then? While this may be a fix the game will not let you play offline with some DLC, that being the items gained from Dragon Age Journeys in my case.

I'm sorry to say but I really don't like people like you even though the two sides keep going in a circle. If you & the others that have commented do not like people complaining why do you trouble yourself reading the complaints? No offense but that is just stupid, no one is forcing you to. You can skim the first sentence & usually get a just of where it is going. Complaing/venting can help b/c we feel better & what starts out as childish complaints or rants turns into a discussion where we all build on our core concerns as a community then form that Bioware can get the just of our concerns as a whole so it can be beneficial.
Also if you are looking for updates you can just click bioware below the title of the thread to see all the Mod's posts.
