Had a thought:
BioWare needs to compensate some of us, I feel. I think anyone who purchased BioWare points thus far in the month of January did so under false pretenses put out there by none other than Chris's own posts.
I don't want compensation, I just want acknowledgment that they messed up in communicating with their customers, which resulted them in getting money off of customers they might not have otherwise received. And so, they should take every purchase of BioWare points made thus far in January and donate that equivalent amount of money to Red Cross. Chris can make a post saying something like:
"Sorry. Whether it was my fault alone or not, I told you customers that such a product would be available when, as it turned out, it wouldn't be, and so we received numerous purchases of BioWare points obviously meant towards a product that does not yet exist. Perhaps some Points were meant for other DLCs, but regardless, due to my/our carelessness, I have decided to compensate our customers with a substantial donation to support Red Cross's efforts in Haiti. Basically, any BioWare points purchases made thus far in the month of January will be met, cent-for-cent, in donations. Thank you for your patience."
Then I might actually have a decent outlook on the guy, instead of seeing him as a corp exec who likes to promote his wares haphazardly with little regard to the wares' existence, readiness, or quality.
I know it won't happen, it was just a daydream. A how-the-world-should-work sort of thing.
EDIT: And purchases of the 360 version of RtO should be thrown into the donation as well, since those customers downloaded a patch that broke their game. Seems fair to me.
