Not so.   All of my specializations were unlocked again after I deleted the cache.  I didn't have to re-unlock them.

I did however have to load my game, exit to dashboard and load again.

Good news! If you clear the cache on the 360, any specializations you unlock will remain unlocked. This is because Microsoft has removed the title update from LIVE. The catch is you have to unlock them again.

To clear your Xbox 360 cache:

- On the Dashboard, go to System Settings
- Select Memory
- Highlight your storage device and press Y for Device Options
- Select Clear Cache (if you don't have that option, press X, X, LB, RB, X, X)
- Say Yes when asked if you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox

This clears all title updates from your system. It will not delete your saves or DLC.

If you have old saves, load them back up and unlock those hard-to-get specializations, like Champion or Blood Mage or Arcane Warrior by replaying those sections. If you don't have any old saves, well, at least anything new you unlock will stay that way.

is it sad that a user has to inform people of this?
awesome...

Oh really? That's better news, then.

After clearing the cache, I first checked my specializations by leveling up, and they were still locked, so I went through my old saves to find the right spots to replay.

As little good as this actually does, I feel grateful having this thread. This really helps sooth the wait.

if the DLC takes under an hour, people certainly have spent far too much energy venting... 60 pages here, over 200 in another thread, all for an hours content.

"I don't blame him solely. Well... maybe I do. But that's because it was his name on the post that told me it was safe to assume that RtO would be available in a matter of hours. Sucks to be the spokesperson, but most spokespersons understand the levity of their job and take precautions, rather than throwing out information into the wind that could result in people feeling ripped-of"

This statement pretty much points the finger at him. And basically says he just kinda felt like telling us something so just threw it out there without actually being told that it was ok to give us the info.

Douche. At least if you are going to try and backtrack on what you said make some effort to get rid of your earlier posts.

Read that statement of mine that I quoted. The statement points the finger at him for what? What am I accusing Chris of? For making a post that he did, in fact, make?
Troll somebody else please. I haven't blamed Chris for anything that he isn't ABSOLUTELY guilty of.
Not in any of my posts, all of which I stand by, and all of which you've taken way too seriously and yet, still don't seen to comprehend.

Chris made a post on the 13th that directly resulted in me placing trust in a product that turned out to be a bust. Is it his fault solely? No, afterall he didn't make the product. BUT: Do I want him to address the problems? Yes.

:wizard:
^^^ That's for you. My way of saying goodbye. And I like how you make double posts to censor your words only to then spout out more profanities. You seem like you're very level-headed indeed. :?

Yes so you are blaming him directly for a post he would have been told was ok to put out. I am sure he isn't all powerful over what does and does not happen in DA. Someone would have realised that MS leaked the update and the DLC and alarm bells would have been going off that PC users were going to be even more annoyed.

At that point he obviously decided without talking to anyone that it would be fine to say pc users could have the dlc as well

Your original post and even your 2nd post make no reference to Bioware being to blame. You blame Chris. Which I keep saying is idiotic - because, funnily enough, it is. The majority of his statements would be reviewed by others before being posted, and he would be told what he can and cannot say.

it wasn't until after I had a go at you that you started saying that you simply expected him to address the problems. Perhaps he is in his boss' ear every five minutes about the general whinging. Perhaps his boss told him to **** off because he was getting on his boss' nerves.

If they can't give us some kind of worthwhile update that they have made progress on the fix what is the point of him sending us updates every hour like most of you seem to want. Have they acknowledged the problem? Yes they have. DO they have a fix? Obviously not. What more can he do? Keep popping up every hour and saying, "We are working on it. We are at line 67 of the 32 million lines of code" perhaps?

I am level headed. However,  when it comes to people like you blaming a person for the information he was given authority to release; which turned out to be wrong - then I get annoyed. And oooh..profanities. Wash your eyes out with soap if you need to.

I never said he didn't make the post. But is it fair to lay the blame for that post at his feet, as an employee of Bioware? I think not. All you really need to do is really be specific about where you are pointing the blame because in your posts you cannot decide whether it his fault or Biowares.

My, what a Krafty post.
I don't mind your profanities, and again, you fail to comprehend written words because I never said I did. I just find it funny that you make double posts to censor some words only to then make another post where you blurb out further mindless insults.
I skimmed your post and that part about "washing my eyes with soap" stuck out as funny, in an unintentional sort of way. And I never said Chris was solely to blame, only that his post caused me to purchase BioWare points under false pretense. Show me the post where I blame Chris solely for BioWare's delays and miscommunications or we can just stop this already. I do think he could have shown more caution in announcing, for the THIRD time, a release time that turns out to be false. I don't think his BOSS forced him to post that. Do you really think that? If not, don't you think Chris deserves SOME of the blame?

As for your last sentence: Hilarious. You say I should specify where I lay my blame, but I'm sure wherever I specify you'll then tell me I'm being too assuming. I'm not specifying my blame, you just really want to think I am so you can argue and "have a go" at me, as you put it (and, ew, please don't, it sounds violating). I haven't "changed my tune" at all, either. You've irritated me at most - and congratulations on that I suppose - but I don't see what else it is you've proven except to constantly tell me that I'm being horribly unfair to the resident BioWare spokesperson of this thread.

Why am I responding to you? At first I thought you were simply trolling, and now you're coming off as having delusions of grandeur to which I'm only justifying with these responses.

With all that said, I do think Chris sucks at being a representative of BioWare. Am I cruel for that? Am I like that guy who yells and throws a fit because the pizza-man was late for delivery? I'm such a meany, right? How dare I want BioWare representatives to not post erroneous information that ends up making me spend money on something that doesn't exist. How dare I use the name of the individual who acted as BioWare's representative in making that post. Is that the idea? Is that your point?

I hate to say it, but - what's the expression you used? Oh yeah: Get a clue. Chris is hardly a poor victim here. If you genuinely feel sorry for Chris because of people like me, than there are billions of people in the world who would like to have lived your all-too-comfortable life.

Keep this stuff out of here.

We need to break this trend of pettiness between updates.

If you are smart enough to think this is silly, then be smart enough to realize the consequences of your words.

i could care less about the DLC. im not that impatient for new ****. the fact that an automatic update crippled my game by taking away specializations is why i'm here.

No they definitely don't. The whole "oh programming is so hard" B.S. excuse no longer flies here. Not after they release a patch to fix achievements and break not only the ones that weren't broken but breaks the specializations in the process. Then they don't even have the courtesy to post it in the 360 tech support boards? Nice customer service there Bioware. Hope you are enjoying my money more than I could have you know BUYING A GAME THAT WORKS!!!!!! ONE THAT THE PEOPLE WHO MADE IT GAVE A RAT'S ASS ABOUT!!!!!

Dude, calm down.  The game as a whole works, im still playing Dragon Age just fine, albeit without the dlc, but oh well, they pulled it down fast so they could minimize the damage.  Im not gonna stop enjoying this game thats, in my opinion, amazing over a dlc that is buggy and they just want to fix said bug and fix any other  problems that may arise.  Or would you rather them to have just left the dlc out there, ruin everyone's games and just not care?

My specializations are gone. My achievements are screwed. I am out $100 bucks for a broken game and you are telling me to CALM DOWN??? Tell you what you either fix my game or refund my money then I will CALM THE HELL DOWN. If not kindly STFU.

SInce they kept quiet over the holiday season. That was the last time there was no whining :P Now the only purpose for these threads is to consolidate the mob. Don't know why people bother to come in here and complain about the mob.

Hang in there bro. They will fix it but it may take time.

They are not Bathesda they would not pretend the bug doesn't exist.

*Yawn* Sleep. . .wait. If we clear the cache, how do we get the dl? If we had it before, then wouldn't we just have to go back and. . .redownload it? Side note, think that lvling glitch will work if we clear the cache? Brain! Gone! Bed! . . . .feedback or critizing, I'll accept both at this point.

Specializations are there to make the game easier for how you want to play the game, i went the whole game without any of specializations assigned to my character just to see if I could do it and win, AND I DID!!!  Besides, someone posted earlier how to fix the specializations problem.  If you werent so pig headed, youd go back a page or two to look for it.  Now calm the F&*# down.

As for the achievements thing, THEY ARE FIXING IT
