No, because people are being immature about it while at the same time lacking respect.

The PC is not 'ready and working and already out there'. Unless you have it and it's working, you're making an assumption. Fake implies an intentional deception, you also said, and I'll quote you here:Verbal Earthworm wrote...

i have made no "sweeping or baseless assumptions".
the PC is ready and working and already "out there".
a person was just banned from Nexus because they boasted of having it.
when i use the word "fake", by that i mean "not genuine", which unless it is the "actual" release date will remain so.
and Bioware already has my money for this DLC, more fool me.

the fake deadlines are getting really old now.
i understand the need to create interest in this game over the xmas period, hence the initial fake release date.
i also understand the need to create an interest in this game over the easter period, hence the announcement over the expansion.
but seriously, who do you think you are kidding?
fools like myself who were stupid enough to buy points perhaps?

It's unfortunate that it's been delayed and without question BioWare is more upset than you or I. Attempting to assign malicious intent to that though, can you see why that would seem unreasonable?

Good news! If you clear the cache on the 360, any specializations you unlock will remain unlocked. This is because Microsoft has removed the title update from LIVE. The catch is you have to unlock them again.
To clear your Xbox 360 cache:
- On the Dashboard, go to System Settings
- Select Memory
- Highlight your storage device and press Y for Device Options
- Select Clear Cache (if you don't have that option, press X, X, LB, RB, X, X)
- Say Yes when asked if you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox
This clears all title updates from your system. It will not delete your saves or DLC.
If you have old saves, load them back up and unlock those hard-to-get specializations, like Champion or Blood Mage or Arcane Warrior by replaying those sections. If you don't have any old saves, well, at least anything new you unlock will stay that way.NeoCloud61 wrote... Not so. All of my specializations were unlocked again after I deleted the cache. I didn't have to re-unlock them. I did however have to load my game, exit to dashboard and load again.
Thank u guys! This in fact did work for me. The only thing is all my specialization didn't come back intill i at least reunlocked one. Then i restarted my game and they were all back unlocked. So again thank u forum people.

Again. They don't have my money, or most peoples money. If you want your money back for your points have you e-mailed their customer support with your concerns? If the basis of your issue is that you feel you were intentionally misled in order to divest you of your money have you actually taken the appropriate steps to get a refund?
Any statement to imply that the release dates were ever intended as anything but genuine and with good intention is a sweeping assumption.
Can BioWare points be transfered? I tell you what. I'm 100% serious. If you feel you were intentionally misled I will give you $10 for your $5 worth of points if you will agree to never procure nor play RtO at any point in the future.
Help me understand exactly what it is you want or are trying to achieve with your posts. If it's a refund, e-mail their customer service. Compensation for a percieved slight? I'll provide that to you myself.

Ya know you've gone through the Looking Glass when a player called "grieferbastard" is the most logical and rational member of a discussion. Just sayin'....

blah blah blah, stuff me and other folks said
The leaked version plays fine on the pc, is the same file size and doesn't have any issues is what I think he was getting at. So esentially sitting on the official PC release due to a rushed out 360 title update borking things really doesn't seem like the best course of action, speculation or not.
Personally I'll be paying for my slice of RTO as I rather support Bioware but to say the way this has been handled has been great is quite the stretch.

Does the leaked version play fine? is it missing something? Does it have issues on specific systems and not others? Is it just a holdup due to obligations to MS for vetting and simultaneous release?
As to the rest, absolutely. I'd guess that BioWare is less happy than anyone about it but at least they both A: held up the release when they found a problem instead of releasing it for the money and patching after the fact and B: said 'hey, there's a problem, we don't know exactly when it's going to roll so we're not going to repeat our prior mistake and make a promise we can't keep'.
Rolling around naked in fresh DLC goodness right now is far preferable than having to wait, but as I plan on waiting to destroy civilization until after I've played RtO everyone can rest easy that their opportunity to play it will come to pass.

That I've thrown around quotes like 'keeping the developers knee-deep in hookers and blow' and 'rolling around naked in DLC goodness' and am still considered sane and rational is more a statement on society than anything else, but thank you.

level of anger: pc owners, followed by 360 owners (the ones that truly should be angriest), and then the ps3 owners (we didn't even had a set release date for rto even before the first delay).
i don't see why the pc version has been held since according to 360 the problem is the patch, which is only tied to the 360 and ps3 versions... it shouldn't affect the pc version unless they decided to do a patch for that version as well.

One thing I find so funny is that because DA:O was so awesome at release, that it delivered several TIMES the amount of content that other games at a similar price provide, that all future DLC should have the same relative valuation - i.e., 140+ hours of entertainment for approximately $50.
By this logic, they should have released a shorter, more flawed game. Then paying more for DLC and having a few technical issues wouldn't seem like as big a deal.....
right?
