No, because people are being immature about it while at the same time lacking respect.

and Bioware already has my money for this DLC, more fool me.

The PC is not 'ready and working and already out there'. Unless you have it and it's working, you're making an assumption. Fake implies an intentional deception, you also said, and I'll quote you here:

Again. They don't have my money, or most peoples money. If you want your money back for your points have you e-mailed their customer support with your concerns? If the basis of your issue is that you feel you were intentionally misled in order to divest you of your money have you actually taken the appropriate steps to get a refund?

Any statement to imply that the release dates were ever intended as anything but genuine and with good intention is a sweeping assumption.

Can BioWare points be transfered? I tell you what. I'm 100% serious. If you feel you were intentionally misled I will give you $10 for your $5 worth of points if you will agree to never procure nor play RtO at any point in the future.

Help me understand exactly what it is you want or are trying to achieve with your posts. If it's a refund, e-mail their customer service. Compensation for a percieved slight? I'll provide that to you myself.

It feels like, just from having seen what you've posted, that what you want is for the DLC to not have had any issues and to be released already. I'm with you on that. I'd like it released as well. It's unfortunate that it's been delayed and without question BioWare is more upset than you or I. Attempting to assign malicious intent to that though, can you see why that would seem unreasonable?

I get people are looking forward on this DLC and are getting anxious because of the vague release date.

But common! TBH I am happy for the very fact that they made a new DLC =D

I already got the extra 400 points. No need to get all fuzzy and ****y just because they are

making an effort to release the DLC without bugs! =D

What I mean to say, be patient and thanks you BioWare for the new DLC ! ^^

Good news! If you clear the cache on the 360, any specializations you unlock will remain unlocked. This is because Microsoft has removed the title update from LIVE. The catch is you have to unlock them again.

To clear your Xbox 360 cache:

- On the Dashboard, go to System Settings
- Select Memory
- Highlight your storage device and press Y for Device Options
- Select Clear Cache (if you don't have that option, press X, X, LB, RB, X, X)
- Say Yes when asked if you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox

This clears all title updates from your system. It will not delete your saves or DLC.

If you have old saves, load them back up and unlock those hard-to-get specializations, like Champion or Blood Mage or Arcane Warrior by replaying those sections. If you don't have any old saves, well, at least anything new you unlock will stay that way.

NeoCloud61 wrote...  Not so.   All of my specializations were unlocked again after I deleted the cache.  I didn't have to re-unlock them.  I did however have to load my game, exit to dashboard and load again.

Thank u guys! This in fact did work for me. The only thing is all my specialization didn't come back intill i at least reunlocked one. Then i restarted my game and they were all back unlocked. So again thank u forum people.

Im quoteing this so other victims can get the fix without having to go through 71 pages or so.

The leaked version plays fine on the pc, is the same file size and doesn't have any issues is what I think he was getting at. So esentially sitting on the official PC release due to a rushed out 360 title update borking things really doesn't seem like the best course of action, speculation or not.

Personally I'll be paying for my slice of RTO as I rather support Bioware but to say the way this has been handled has been great is quite the stretch.

I stand by what I said earlier, it being pretty much what CausaDennis just said. One more thing though, it's a sure way to get the thread locked if all you do is spamblock the thread with a page full of quote aqnd then say one word in response. Selective quoting would be easier to read.

Does the leaked version play fine? is it missing something? Does it have issues on specific systems and not others? Is it just a holdup due to obligations to MS for vetting and simultaneous release?

As to the rest, absolutely. I'd guess that BioWare is less happy than anyone about it but at least they both A: held up the release when they found a problem instead of releasing it for the money and patching after the fact and B: said 'hey, there's a problem, we don't know exactly when it's going to roll so we're not going to repeat our prior mistake and make a promise we can't keep'.

Rolling around naked in fresh DLC goodness right now is far preferable than having to wait, but as I plan on waiting to destroy civilization until after I've played RtO everyone can rest easy that their opportunity to play it will come to pass.

I have to agree with you Cos Sarah..things have not been great ..mistakes have been made. I would like to think that people realize that...mistakes happen when you are under pressure to produce, or fix...whats gone wrong.

We don't know for a fact..that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the PC version, that is according to what Chris stated yesterday or thereabouts...why they are checking all platforms currently...to obviously make sure than none of us experience what the console players experienced...and that was save file corruption.

You guys need to give them leeway on this, what started this whole snowball downhill was not Bioware's doing....possibly the corrupt update file yes, but the MS employee started the ball rolling, and Bioware ended up attempting damage control due to that...early release.

There has to be some common sense used, here..instead of all the hysteria, yelling griping, conspiracy theories and even threats that I have seen in this forum since we got the news.

Mr Priestley or any other like him who post info on this forum, are posting what they are allowed to post, the update stated they were looking at ALL of the platforms, which probably means testing through alot of code for each one. Its been what a day or two?

Cut them some slack. They have produced bug patches in relatively short time before this, for issues within our game, lets allow them to do what they do best...and for god's sake get off their backs.

Its pretty abundantly clear the "problem" was with the 360 title update and not the DLC itself, Evil Priestly said as much. The file size is the same as the 360 file size so no I'm fairly sure its not missing anything. I completely understand they want to do the play it safe route but seriously use some logic and read between the lines here. I also realize that if there's a contractional obligation to MS to not release the PC version before the 360 version then of course the're going to sit on it in that case as well and wouldn't be allowed to comment.

They esentially already broke a promise of having it out for the PC on the 5th and 13th to begin with..

level of anger: pc owners, followed by 360 owners (the ones that truly should be angriest), and then the ps3 owners (we didn't even had a set release date for rto even before the first delay).

i don't see why the pc version has been held since according to 360 the problem is the patch, which is only tied to the 360 and ps3 versions... it shouldn't affect the pc version unless they decided to do a patch for that version as well.

They released a title update for the Xbox of which they thought it was a minor thing and bugfree. That update contained a pretty huge and nasty bug. It's not really unconceivable that there still might be a tiny, but nasty bug in the DLC itself. They want to avoid that, so they're double- and triple-checking.

I had no problem with the DLC. I played it the morning it came out. I am kinda nervous to turn my Xbox on though seeing as my Specializations could be gone lol.

They stated they are checking all platforms...I would imagine to avert the disasterous results that happened to the 360 owners.

Despite what some say in this thread,  ie: oh I play the leaked version and there's nothing wrong with it.

Be that as it may, there are still their procedures that Bioware must follow through on   That still doesn't negate the checking process...though if Bioware is being professional.

Unless those gamers happen to be professional quality assurance types..I imagine Bioware will continue to do what they have  to do to insure that the product is not going to further corrupt anyone else's files once released to us.

One thing I find so funny is that because DA:O was so awesome at release, that it delivered several TIMES the amount of content that other games at a similar price provide, that all future DLC should have the same relative valuation - i.e., 140+ hours of entertainment for approximately $50.

By this logic, they should have released a shorter, more flawed game. Then paying more for DLC and having a few technical issues wouldn't seem like as big a deal.....

right?

Agreed!  We should all push for shorter games that cost more but have more flaws!  Down with the man!

So when the new patch comes out for 360 will I get my points I haven't spent on Spec and the Specialization unlocked again, even the ones I'm buying from stores like Ranger etc at the moment with the bug present...? This is my third attemp at this game, had one save problem and one 360 related problem which resulted in my saves been deleted, I would hate to have to start a fourth playthough when I haven't even done one complete playthough yet :(
