You're just jealous of my ability to find a figurehead to follow behind. :P

I may have quoted you, but that cat lady also called him a child. I was referring to a larger group of child-callers.

I never called anyone a child, please show some reading comprehension.
I said that repeating the same thing ad nauseatum while none pays attention to what you have to say reminds me of my kids demanding something they knew they wont get. I never pointed a finger at anyone, but if you found yourself in above description its your problem then, not mine.

If and when you do decide to bend over kittycat (fat chance but one can have dreams can't they) please be sure to give me a hook-up will ya?....I definitely will make time for that..lol  Posted Image

As for "changing" any contractual obligation, there's no need to change any (despite the fact that Microsoft already breached their contractual obligations, accidentally or not, by releasing a product before the given time), if there's any in place, it only takes saying so. In that way the customer will know who to blame for the fact that he's not receiving the product he paid for.

While I agree they haven't handled it well, you do realise if they tell us there is an agreement in place with MS on distribution they will have almost every single pc player the world over baying for blood. And not this general anger about it not being released either.

That'd be Microsoft's blood. And given the last few years maybe it is about time that some of that be shed, ain't it? :wizard:

@cyber: It's "ad nauseam", not "ad nauseatum", if you want to look smart by using latin quotes, I'd suggest to spell them right, otherwise you might end up with the opposite effect

I highly doubt you are using that term in a positive fashion...at least it doesn't appear that way to me.

@ Griefer Your statements make sense to me..and also give information as to why perhaps the information isn't forthcoming ...AT THIS POINT AND TIME.

Other than that ..we just have to wait..its not a solution that anyone likes, I understand that.

That's your own personal bias. A smokescreen, while not properly ethical or sincere, is an useful PR tool to divert attention during the initial stages of a problem. What makes it useless and possibly damaging here is that we're in no way in the "initial" stages of the problem. We're at the stage in which people are tired of waiting and tired of the lack of information, and smokescreens only makes them feel mocked.

Then I suggest you eliminate smokescreen from your musings...and it will allow me to possibly consider your demands as a little more rational.

You mean the term "smokescreen"? I wonder why I should, it's a widely used part of PR and marketing lingo, and it's perfectly fitting to what's happening here. The "we're working on it, keep waiting" is nothing else than that. I'm sorry if the use of that term offends you (I wonder why), but given that english is not my first language, I have to go with the terms i know. Care to suggest another equally fitting definition?

Constant repetition of that word smokescreen indicates to me and any other person..that shhhh we have a massive conspiracy going on here, ...you know.   That just starts up more nonsense....think we've seen quite enough.

I mean no offense at all by this but...

...dont you think its rather hypocritcal of you complaining about him posting on this forums when you are doing the same thing over and over again?   I mean that is what this forum is for.   Chris and every other bioware rep in other topics specifically state that if you have questions regarding the DLC, that you please post it in this section, which we are.  He is asking alot of questions that we as a whole want to know.  Maybe he will get and answer maybe not, but arguing with him regarding about how he is asking is rather pointless.

This I can get behind. I can't help but picture all these game developers sitting around a table, each working on their games and products, and MS being this big guy with a Chester the Molester moustache who leans over, looks at their game and say 'Oh, hey, want me to absolutely rape that for you? Looks like a great design. I can slow development and release for you, throw some bugs in. We'll crap that out on the 360 in the beta state and then hold up all the patches. Then we'll use you as a human shield when people get pissed out it. I would ask you if that sounds like a good idea but since we have such a ruthless stranglehold on compatability and digital distribution you don't have much choice, do you? Now be a good boy and pass me the lube.'

That I would not mind seeing. But IF a contractual release is what is holding the PC content back, what does anyone expect? Microsoft as a company was founded on borderline criminal actions/thought processes. Like they, as a company don't know how to cover their bases..... But still yea.. I'd love to see MS take one nasty trip and fall down the proverbial stairs. They deserve it.

By the way? Totally agree with this too. At first I blamed Santa; now I feel bad for sending those guys up to the north pole to rough the jolly old SOB up for not bringing me my RtO. Though, it is in keeping with the DA:O mythology for rich humans to pay thugs to curb stomp a few elves.

Sorry, I'm a newbie, so silly question probably but by ''The only consequence of clearing your cache is re-downloading any updates for other games'' does that mean I'll lose things like Shivering Isles on Obliv, and all my save games?

You will loose no save game. You'll lose just product updates (and it doesn't include DLC as far as I know) that will be redoanloaded automatically as soon as you fire up any updated game.
Iin any case, even if clearing the cache would uninstall some DLC (I'm not sure there), they are registered on your name, and as such you will be able to redownload them.

Thank you, I really do appreciate your help..!

I'm wondering what kind of hypocrisy could be associated with the simple act of asking questions, over and over as it may be. Maybe you could define me persistent, possibly even annoying. Hypocrite? I wouldn't say so.

Well pc users would be after BW for lying to them when they said that the consoles wouldn't affect the pc at all. I personally think, regardless of any supposed agreement, that the consoles have negatively impacted n the game anyway. If they had 1 platform to concentrate on (and from a relationship/tradition point of view I pick the pc) they wouldn't have anywhere near the number of problems they have had.

But I accept they are a business and the consoles will most likely net them more money.

360 USERS: I can confirm that you can remove the spec bug by clearing the system cache. You need an old save so you can unlock one spec again, then shut down the system. After rebooting, all your specs should be back. I have all DLC, including RtO, and this does not appear to affect them. So for anyone stuck with a broken game, you now have a fix for it without doing any damage to your system. The only consequence of clearing your cache is re-downloading any updates for other games. But since the DA:O title patch has been removed, that's not a problem for this game. :)

This worked for me also,i didnt even reboot the 360 i just saved, exited to the dashboard and reloaded the game and the were all unlocked on my new Rouge!
