Well, this is my first post on any of the RtO threads. Wow, just... wow.
People, I know it's been said before, but it's just a game. Why are you attacking each other?
That said, all the commentary about who to blame is pretty simple.
It's not Sony's fault, or Microsoft's fault, and I seriously doubt any portion of the fault lies with the friendly mods trying to keep you informed as they're allowed to.
Any fault for failure to deliver belongs to whomever is the PM for the team responsible to writing and testing RtO.
The programming team that had been tasked to code, compile and then hand off to the testers (as well as the test team) the finished code has one or more PMs, a program manager or a project manager depending on the scale of the project. That's how it's done in the programming world. That person (or persons) and that person alone is responsible for any and all delays of his team in producing a code complete product that has passed testing.
So blaming Sony or MS is just plain being foolish.
That said, I seriously doubt that any of the mods or reps from Bioware on this forum are the PM for the RtO project, so how about cutting them all a little freaking slack, eh?
If you have, however, downloaded the 360 version and it caused you lasting grief, then take it up with customer service and tell them that you want a complaint filed and want a reply from someone at Bioware to address the issue with you personally. Moaning about it here does nothing for anyone.
If any of the reps that post info here ARE part of the programming team management, then they are being remiss in their handling. It takes little to no effort to simply say something like "We found out too late that the update team had changed the memory space of a number of variables over the holiday which ended up causing unforseen conflicts in the program. We're working to resolve these problems so that all of our valued customers can experience the fun of RtO in a timely manner, but at this time we do not have a delivery date." Then maybe state, "As an apology for the wait, we have tasked the RtO project team with adding additional DLC item content."
Giving comp to make up for delays is not unheard of after all.
