The Title Update has been removed by Microsoft. If anyone was worried about playing their copy of Dragon Age: Origins on their Xbox 360 whle this was present, you no longer need to worry.
We are still working on a fix the the issue introduced to those who did install the Title Update.
We are checking all versions of Return to Ostagar to ensure that there are no outstanding issues or the possibility of introducing new ones. Currently, we do not have an eta for the release of Return ot Ostagar on any platform.
When I have more details or information, I will let you know.

If they did that and RTO didnt come out next week, the multiple threads of complaints would flood the boards again.Gr8Horned1 wrote...
You'd think they at least say something like "RTO will not be released till next week"........at least then I won't have to check back here every hour.

We HAVE an update. From yesterday. Approximately 24 hours ago. I realize that a whole, soul-crushing, life-consuming day has passed since the last update! I know a few people likely have the shakes and are certain deep down that if someone would just tell them what the problem is exactly they could go fix it, the realities are that any fix + vetting ain't gonna happen in 24 hours. How long? Good question. I'm sure that when there is something significant to update, it will come up again.
For comfort and snuggles though here's yesterdays update again:
I'm sure that, in line with your nickname, trying to be a jerk helps you feel better in your own wait, but I have to point out again that that "update" as you call it, doesn't include any information beyond "hello everyone, we're working on it, have a nice day", which doesn't really help anyone.
Again, after 3 delays and a major screwup, keeping that kind of stance is just bad business and poor customer support. Like it or not, several people in this thread aren't satisfied by that, and you coming here to sell your poor wits as messianic peacekeeping isn't going to make them feel better, nor it's going to make Bioware's poor communication look any more decent in their eyes

I kind of knew this game was going to see major problems because of this ridiculous fad of having games go multi-platform, but it's been a month and a half since "Coming out this holiday season" was first announced. Return to Ostagar could have come out on PC weeks ago and the mod community (which has fixed the helmet glitch among others problems) could have had any problems fixed before Xbox or PS3 even knew that the PC gamers got it.
I know, I sound like a typical complainer and will likely get the "You have the full game and they don't owe you a thing" response, which always amazes me since you sound like a volunteer CS representative, but if BioWare is having this much trouble with it then update us all and say "Out in 3 weeks" so, like Gr8Horney1 said, we don't have to check back constantly and on top of it all, you have the time to get it straightened out because if 3 weeks isn't enough time for a hour long DLC then I don't even want to know how much trouble BioWare will have getting Awakening out the door.

Not wishing to start a console/PC war, because I think the 360 peeps got equally screwed over by this. But that particular update didn't go anywhere to addressing one key issue that someone at Bioware tried to cover up from the day before.grieferbastard wrote...

Chris had stated a couple of times throughout the day that they were looking to get the DLC released on the PC.
That never happened and the title of the original topic got changed to remove any mention of the PC version and Chris has completely ignored any true mention of the PC version other than they are working on it since then.
Last week, he stated they wouldn't give a date for when it was going to be released until they were 100% accurate they could do it.
On the 13th, they stated they would release it that day and didn't and nor did they apologise for making such a statement. That I feel is what has got most people upset and venting about it. It would be nice for a Dev to come here and acknowledge that they understand how that could annoy people.

I don't normally complain maon & groan but even I would be extremely upset if they posted another release date, got with in a day or 2 of that date & it got pushed back agian. Hell I think I might even join the band wagon at that point.

I play on xbox and I understand where your coming from. Ive been wondering why it hasnt been released on pc yet also. Its just the xbox patch then why not put it out for pc. They cant use the excuse they are trying to consider every one because xbox and pc was suppose to get it first and then ps3 later on. Its all fishy lol.Sir Ulrich Von Lichenstien wrote...

Huh...so if we've (Xbox users) already downloaded RtO...we have it and don't need to wait. Just overlook the little 'bug' problem...ick. Will we have to eventually delete it from the console or...?
If you are past lvl 14 then you've got no issues based on my experience going through RtO. Three characters have moved through RtO and I've got no issues.

I wish there was a t-shirt for everyone who has put up with this. So we could all identify each other long afterwords and smile, or cry, as we recounted the ordeal.
Must right a commemorative theme song and get a catchphrase!
how about "i waited for RtO after several delays and all i got was this lousy t-shirt", i know its not original, but its familiar.
How about the shirt just says
"This Holiday Season"
In New Zealand we have a beer company called Tui. They have made themselves one of the most popular brands on the back of an ad campaign (often using what is in the media).
Basically, they make a statement, and then say Yeah Right! So I propose we add your quote to a Tui ad/billboard/t-shirt.

Do we need to rehash this again? Didn't we just go over this a few hours ago? I appreciate that you're frustraited. I really do. So am I. I'm eager to enjoy the new content from a fresh replay of the game. Yet, as we went over a few pages ago, demanding details that are not going to happen is not particularly reasonable. I know it feels reasonable to you. It would comfort you. At this point though I'd rather the focus be on 'as quick as possible' than on 'what is far enough out that we can commit to it without the risk of another missed release'.
What I do enjoy though is you making the sweeping judgements on what's happening from a position of almost total ignorance - same position we're all in, no question.
The truth is though that you're asking for details that they may or may not have and you want them because.... well, you want them.
I'm still waiting by the way for an example, even one only vaguely related, where a consumer demanding details on the resolution process actually improved, well, anything. Then tie that to this.

I run a company with some partners, and we all started out as middle management in another company. While that company was it's original entity, things went great. Our projects were completed properly, and when they weren't, we stayed all damned night if we had to until we got it worked out. It was our jobs and reputation on the line and everyone in that room knew that if our profits fell because people lost faith in what we were doing, we were going to get canned and that was that. Suffice it to say, we worked as hard as we needed to in order to keep things up to snuff so that we continued to keep our jobs and get great bonuses for the numbers we did at the end of the year. Then, our upper management decided to cash it in and sell to a huge company in our field. We all kept our basic jobs and pay under our origina name, but the bigger company held all of the cards as far as senior and executive decisions went. We found out quickly that when there was a problem that fell directly under thier company banner, everyone had to push like hell to get it fixed, but when some of thier jackass VP's messed something up under our banner because they got thier second rate, cheap labor emplyees a spot in our division, they didn't do squat to help us out or press for the idiots to tell us what he had fouled up in the system of things. They just left us to hande the fire and the repair. After many instances of this kind of activity, we just all packed up and left and started our own company. Now, I won't mention any names, but it sure does sound alot like what happened with EA and another very successful game studio from a few years back that made some awesome RPGs for thier day, doesn't it?
Fact is, Bioware alone doesn't get to decide where thier talent gets placed once a game is completed. EA may have placed all of the writers and programmers into another facet of future Dragon Age content and left some diluted second string EA team to work out bugs in a game they never touched before in any serious measure. This would not, under any circumstances, be the first time they did this. It also would explain another scenario devolping here... are the Bioware employees on this board going to be able to come out and say "Yeah, the guys who now sign our checks have totally screwed this up and EA brass aren't authorizing us to say anything about how they are too busy drinking vodka tonic's with thier bean-counters over the money they already collected for the content that hasn't even been released yet with this and a slew of other EA games". They just can't do it.
It seems very out of character for Bioware to just screw the pooch on something so small as this after developing such an awesome game. Let's try giving them the benefit of the doubt. I am more ready to assume it is the powers of EA that are fouling this up.
Now, I may be way off base, and I apologize if I am. I just have good reason to beleive that Bioware has some hands tied on this issue at the moment. Let the flaming commence.

What happens between the beta/test server & LIVE servers are not always the same. The patch/ DLC might be as good as it gets on the beta/test server but when that patch/DLC hits the LIVE servers the bugs & glitches show their face. Finding the correct codding for these bugs & glitches isn't as easy as you think & those who have played MMOs &/or make these codes will agree that this happens more then you think they do. For those who think defferently, go to school for game creation, you might learn something about gamming.
