All I can add to this is I too am waiting for the game, I have been waiting for the game. I even spent the points and got the buggy download. Am I angry? No. Why? Because I know that it was released erroneously by some **** at MS. Bioware didn't want it released, and for good reason. Am I irritated that bioware didn't catch it straight away? A little, but, I understand that they are committed to fixing the issue. Am I going to let this ruin my life? No, because I have a life outside of my games. I know that when I come back to it, sooner or later it will be fixed. In the meantime, I am going to enjoy my girflriend, a lot, I am going to enjoy the warm weather we are having here, I am going to enjoy my 3 day weekend, and hell, I am going to thing, Those folks in Haiti aren't eating another meal tonight, why should I gripe that I don't have a working game, when they don't have food in their stomachs.

C'mon guys. It's obvious that someone in BioWare forgot the Murphy factor and now they're learning about it! I seriously doubt it will happen again unless they have a Murphy relative in the team, in which case they need to go to Bahia, learn Capoeira, Candomblé and take a Banho de Descarrego (sorry, no translation for the last one but it's the most important part... the cleansing ritual!

I think that is what a friend of mine did something like that in India.

I have to agree with you there. Though I will be somewhat disappointed when I reach the end of this game and the add on hasn't been released. I have three games going, so I'm sure I'll keep busy with the game. The one I have the most on is my female noble which ironically was the last one I started. I have excursions to the deep roads in Orzammar and going to the Elves before going on with the landsmeet. Not to mention all the side quests. I've got a romance with Alastair going on in this game and still not gotten him to go to my tent yet, lol.

This has built up for so long, by the time we get it, it will be a disappointment. The wanting is more powerful than the having.

I keep saying expect it to come out around March or so, given the delay Bring Down the Sky had (over 3 months). The only thing different this time around is that the DLC wasn't falsely advertised as already being available for free on the box of the main game. Given that it wasn't advertised on the box, it wouldn't surprise me if the guy who said it's never coming could be right.

If you don't want to be disappointed, expect the worst possible outcome, and then figure it'll suck more than that. Very hard to be disappointed that way, and if your meagre expectations are met or exceeded then it's a pleasant surprise. Remotely major aftermarket Bioware DLC tends to blow up spectacularily like this pretty often. Get used to it. Atleast we can look forward to Awakenings right before Dragon Age 2 comes out, given the trend.

Dont even get me started on that lol. If you look at my female characters, and saw the real life versions, I would not be so hesistant if they asked me to jump into bed with them, but nooo not Allistair. He is all good a pious, and ooooh.. It is driving me insane.

Actually, Gothic 3 is a great game, patch 1.12 by PBytes made it playable and overall an enjoyable game, PBytes and JooWood contract was terminated at some point and a new software company was signed to to "Arcania: A Gothic tale" which will try to live up to the Gothic franchise. Gothic 3 was then the subject of an amazing display of love and capacity by an amazing community and a 900MB patch was released for it. Community Patch 1.72 was made by fans and I'd think some of the Piranhas among them. Gothic 3 with CP1.72 is such an awesome game, so much better than Oblivion and that is a valid comparison since they dwell in the same gameplay style.

But still is doesn't come close to Gothic 2 which along with a few other titles like BG1&2 and Morrowind, are among the best CPRG ever for a lot of people. The new Piranha Bytes title, Risen, is such an awesome game that fans call it Gothic 2.5 ... everything good from G2 and G3 without the bads that G3 had and was forced upon the game by the Publishers! Truly, Risen is the new Gothic and there's a lot of speculation about G4-Arcania which so far is not that impressive.

And then Dragon Age came out and took the Best Ever title with a landslide, leaving those three that I mentioned, in a close second place. At least for me and some other players. I will love to play whatever PBytes throws at us next as much as anything Dragon Age. Perhaps even TES5 will be good. I enjoyed TES4 a lot too. And The Witcher 2 is coming out sometime this year, we hope!

The fact that I truly love one game does not prevent me from loving many others. And if it does it for someone, I'm sorry for them. They have no idea of what they're missing! (Gladly, there's a free demo for Risen so people can try it out before making assumptions)

Why is the title update STILL being pushed out by XBL??!?



My son (away at college) just called to report that he got the "you must update this title" message when he fired up DA:O THIS AFTERNOON!



I thought they pulled the title update? WTF?



And for those thinking maybe they pushed out the fix - no, it was the bad one, deleted his specializations.
