Not saying I like RNG store,
actually my very first post was about RNG hate..Image IPB
I am also frankly very tired with RNG store purchase disappointing me.

but objectively speaking,
the RNG store troling did make me play this game more often and regularly.
Not to mention for very very prolonged duration. (over a year)

After I max my manifest initially, I was barely playing 1-2 games a day, and probably about less than 5 games a week.
but because I have incomplete manifest again, and need to deal with RNG store once again, I play bit more often than I used to currently. (at least trying)

Just as much as I enjoy this game,
RNG store trolling has been some kind of weird reason for me to continue to play.
If I have everything completed too easily, I will lose interest in the game rather quickly.

Given that ME3 MP is an excellent game with tons of fun and good support, and
Understanding that RNG store needs vast fix/improvement for next ME MP game to minimize players` frustration..
(There are many good ways to improve store with minimum change... but sadly, such change might not favor EA`s micro-transaction based on frustration & false hope)

I wonder if RNG store`s very very frugal way of giving away UR weapons(a.k.a RNG store trolling) helped anybody to play this game longer.

I want my URX weapons to expand my play variability in this game, and RNG making it hard for me to get them...
actually contributed more than I want to admit in making me to play this game this long time..

I'd keep playing it anyway, but I know for a fact that a lot of people play for a lot longer than they actually want to because of their skinner-box addiction.

Stop asking thought-provoking questions, because I don't like to think and this is going medieval on my mojo.

RNG has been trolling me for well over a year.  I'd still be here even if I had everything.

I'm still here.

I've had High Lord Claymoar from the start...

What else do I need?

If it were up to me, I'd have maxed my manifest as soon as I picked up the game. Iv'e never liked unlocking or levelling up.

Definitely. I'm not going to lie, it's satisfying to get something you actually want whenever you buy a pack from the store but after a period of getting nothing you want/need (in the case of Ultra Rares) it becomes irritating and annoying.

Having a maxed manifest would make me play more if anything as I'd have a wide-range arsenal ready to pick up and use. Having them all at max level would definitely be more fun.

I would, because I like the game.

Most wouldn't, though, because the only reason they keep playing is because they want unlocks. A maxed manifest doesn't change the game; if people are bored now trying to get it, then chances are they're gonna be bored when they actually do get it.

Every time I get a streak of nothing but character cards, or amps, it takes a little bit more away from my enjoyment of the game.

I just play when friends are on, or maybe a PUG or two

Yes. to me it's more about mastering characters... or in my case attempting to,
That said it's nice to play with new toys like weapons and a lot of UR's at low levels are useless or have better options.

RNG store helps keep my interest in it, but I'd still play after maxing my manifest, the amount played would decrease drastically however.

Everything goes well after you get Claymore X.
No desire for URs, no need for URs.
Everything at peace.
Such is life free from evil RNG.

Would be nice to have a maxed manifest, but I would still play with my friends as often as I could.
The game is fun.

Having everything unlocked (UR notwithstanding) is when I finally feel like I can start playing the game for fun and not feel like I'm going to work.

An interesting observation OP, but many people with maxed or nearly maxed manifests are among the most frequent players on my friends lists (both platforms). The likely causal relationship is that enjoyment/frequent play of the game is prior to maxing, of course, rather than the other way around.

The primary source of my frustration with RNG is that I have over 800 hours invested in this game and by rights I should be much farther along in progression than I am, but because I'm cross-platform I have to endure a lot of the same irritations twice. (I actually did the math and rather than having 113 URs left to unlock on PC/144 on XBox I should only have 47 left given my combined manifests, and that's without having played for nearly four months on either platform due to starting at Operation Exorcist and taking a long break at the start of this school year.)

This is easily one of the best co-op FPS games out there. IMO being trolled by RNG store is still way better than being trolled by human players in PVP FPS.

Would still play. :wizard:

Yeah I'd play a lot more.
The RNG is kinda keeping me away for now.
I was very close to maxing out my URs then a whole lotta em get dumped into the pool and I feel like I'm back where I started.
I've pretty much been completely demoralized about the unlocking system for now.
I know there's lotsa fun little combos I could be playing with, but I really don't want to I feel a tad screwed over. Now if only Dawnguard would come with the mail I'd be occupied again for a while.

It's a double edged sword, imo.

On one hand having a goal is important, and the trolling keeps goals ahead of us.
On the other hand, making some progress towards it that isn't frustrating is important. The trolling seems to do a bit too good of a job at keeping the goal away.

Both ends of the prism are important.

It doesn't have to be one, or the other, being trolled, or instant gratification. There can be a better middle ground between them, no?

I enjoy MP a lot, even with all the flaws (balancing issues, lag, glitches). But I would have played a lot less games if I would have gotten my manifest complete. Challenges help too.

It's a bad way of keeping people playing. It makes some of us addicted in our pursuit of 'just one more pack, surely something will come up'. I've learned that the hard way. It takes away from time dong more beneficial things. Same business model as gambling.

If i get one of everything i am happy. At that point i just start experimenting. Ive actually stopped playing twice because i would either get nothing or upgrades to my URs, thats nice but id rather have something new. Came back for the new geths both times.
