8 is too much and forget about 16, already takes ages just with 4. For a 'big' game its possible but the playerbase for mass effect multiplayer is too small, only Xbox community possibly.
I would prefer another mode of 6, thats plenty. But also remember the more variations that are added the more spread out the player base will be.
Would Mass Effect Multiplayer be better if it was... bigger?
