Do you hate missile using spawn nukers? Also my experience with them

Please send all those spawn nukers to lobbies that I am in. Xbox or PC. I like getting more money in less time since I need a few last URs for one account and a whole lotta unlocks on the other.
Thanks.

I have a habit that is even worse. I speedrun a lot, so in addition to spawn nuking, I also have the habit pf using missiles to clean up objective waves. So if we get to wave ten and complete the objective, I'll run around nuking bosses till I'm out of missiles.
I do this.
I won't use more than 2 missiles a wave but if it makes the games faster why not?

Nuking spawns on objective waves and unnecessarily on wave 11 is something else altogether though.

Believe it or not, there is another explanation for extraction rockets (albeit I agree it's mostly score), and that's bonus credits for extraction. Hell, since I don't use rockets except in extreme circumstances, don't mind using them to make sure I extract. I'll get them back easily enough and without spending extra cash on them.

This. Speedrunning has taught me not to missile during objectives, but after (except for kill objective). They're my rockets and I'm gonna use them as productively as possible. This is actually what bugs me the most about the Juggernauts slow walking speed. I can't get to the spawns fast enough.Deucetipher wrote...

But what's the point ?
I thought the whole point of a video game was having fun.
If you nuke spawns, then you're barely playing the game.
I can understand it on platinum, since it's mostly for credits, but Gold ? You might as well play silver then.

Nothing to do with points, just to clear the harder waves more efficiently.

If I'm running a GI with a Black Widow. I don't need to use missiles, I've got range and power so I can kill most big things in seconds anyway, I've got missiles to spare, so I'm hitting big spawns. Other people, so long as they don't get killed, doesn't matter. Makes things go quicker, I had good PuG Gold games which last less than 20 minutes because we hit spawns, made it easy without the grind for platinum, and worrying about PuGs screwing up.

I agree its a bit of a buzzkill when ur in a good match, since its not like you and ur team couldn't handle that pack of mobs anyways. Esp annoying when you've already primed mobs or lobbed a nade and a random missile goes out.
Many pugs out there could well benefit from it, though. There's a line between 'fun' and 'chore' w/ some matches, and I'd rather not take 25-30 mins+ for a gold pug if I can help it.

Non objective wave: nuking = faster wave
Objective wave: nuking before objective done = better to hold off unless the spawn is going to make the objective fail right now, nuking after objective done = faster wave
Spawn nuking does take some of the fun out of the game IMO because everyone else gets fewer enemies to fight. Once or twice a match is fine. 5- 9 times is excessive, IMO.

Spawn nuking greatly reduces wave times and benefits the whole team, stop whining.
This thing right here. I don't nuke spawns 'cause of my position on the "leaderboard." I do it to save some time/deplete the wave budget. Others do the same.
I'm sure there ARE some players that do it for points, but it still saves time/depletes the wave budget.

Knowing the game mechanics helps a lot. I notice the big spawn groups don't always happen on geth, but repears (on wave 8) tend to spawn like 2 banshee's, 2 brutes, a ravager and marauder or two, so taking all that out with just one missile reduces the spawn budget, and even better if you can hit the second spawn point quick enough.

hard game (crap pug and/or gold+) - spawn nuking fine, as long as there are rockets for wave 10 objective
