It's the nature of the game. If there were more focus on teamwork and less need for DPS from the get-go, I think people would care about score less. Also, I think that score can be used for good instead of evil. For example, if support power like shield boost and cryo blast were rewarded with points, I think there would be more incentive to use them.

You actually do get points for using thing like Cryo Blast.

Shield Boost not so much, but anything that hits an enemy unit will give you some assist points even if it didn't damage them.

Yeah, I know you get some points for powers that debuff, but not enough. At least not enough to convince your average PUG to play a FQE over a Paladin. And I just think it's criminal that healing turrets, shield boost,  medi-gel transmitter etc. don't give points, because I've had my ass saved so many times by these things.

When I'm the top scorer I'm worried my teammates are actually doing nothing.
Because I know for a fact I suck big time.

Didnt you post multiple youtube videos of you 1v1 players in this coop game? The irony indeed. The very clan your in is full of members who play mass effect just like this.

The problem is people play too much mass effect and dont play any pvp games so they end up being competitive in this game.

Well, I'd argue the problem there is that while Cryo Blast only gets support points, Snap Freeze gets damage and support points because it's also debuffing.

Though I think it'd be better to do it L4D style and not show anything during the match and have a few specific stats afterwards for things like most enemies killed, most revives, most objectives done, etc. rather than attempting to have a generic score.

That could work, though playing the SP has made me realize how much I rely on the killfeed. How do I know that Centurion is reallllly dead?

I only nuke extraction if I'm passing through or if I'm getting stun locked to death but I don't do it for the purpose to up my score. I really don't need to :crying:

Most important stats in ME3.

1. Score
2. N7 Level
3. Challenge Points

That is all that matters and if you are having fun then you are doing it wrong.

Personally I kick people who have less points than me usually, because if they can't get as many ponits as me, they A. don't need to be in the game, and/or B. aren't doing anything to help.

That being said, it's because I'm almost always dead last in points, I pick people up and protect the backside (which sometimes means I don't actually find an enemy in a couple waves because they don't get behind us, which is fine) I usually score 20-40K a game, including plats. I'm a support no matter what class I play or equips I use, and I'm just fine with that.
I'm simply not a gun-ho or sniper type, I sit and make sure bad things don't happen and when I know they're going to happen I can warn people beforehand so either it won't go bad or it won't go quite as bad.

I prefer when a team hunkers down to fight in one single area holding all things off, like how many people do in plat giant, makes it easy for me to get a few kills, watch their backs fairly well, and revive everyone constantly. as well as being revived the few times i manage to go down.

I tend to get 50ish assits, and maybe 10-25 kills a game, if my partners can't do that much, then well chances are we aren't going to win even a gold match, as such I have no desire to play with them, I play less than what most people consider the bare minimum, I play worth crap to them because I'm not like them guns a blazing (which would mean all of us would die on like wave 3 since i'm not around to pick us all up).
