I have no interest in MP in this game.

I have no problem if it's included.

However, if any element of the SP game is impacted by the inclusion of MP, then I'm against it.

From what I gather with ME3 the SP and MP games were put together by separate teams, I'm assuming that it'll be the same in DAI at this point.

I'm looking forward to MP, I'm hoping that there's Co-op and PvP options available.

I am all for multiplayer. I enjoy playing it for me3. I am in agreement that you should not have to play it in order to see all the endings. So bioware make sure that doesn't happen to DAI.

More scope for this than in ME3.

Templars versus Mages, oh my:devil:

This. Team Deathmatch. Yes.

And a Co-op Adventure mode in MP.

I can't say I'm looking forward to it, but since its definitely being included, I am willing to see what they come up with. Worst case scenario I just don't participate in MP.

Don't play MP myself but understand others enjoy it, as long as it is optional.

We may not be getting actual MP. Devs have said that DA2 covered the requirements for EA's online play.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, here that it'll be the same for DA3

Yes. The OP and an unknown number of other people appear to want it.

I and another unknown number of people do not want it. A third group of people, numbers also unknown, don't care one way or the other.

I don't really care. ME3's MP wasn't bad but I got bored of it after about a week. I just don't play these games for multiplayer.

Considering that MP was a big experiment and came out to be a major success according to what Bioware states and by their standards I am pretty sure we will recieve MP of some form in DA:I. If it is anything like Baldur's Gate mp I will be thrilled or a tower defense kind of thing. (Playing as different races/kits ala ME3 MP style)

I'm thinking a mage vs templar mode. Who wouldn't want that? I'd be more partial to a werewolve vs elves myself, but thats just me.

If it's done right than I would have no problem with it. Just helps to add longevity to a game and makes it more worthwhile to buy the game.Of course the main draw will always be SP for me, but I'm not concerned that Bioware will screw that portion up

Absolutely not. I would rather they focus all their resources on the SP. MP was pointless in Mass Effect, it will be pointless in DA as well.

Nope not really. I don't care if it's there so long as it doesn't interfere with my SP game at all.

I don't see how they can have MP with DA's strategic combat with pauses, combos with companions and autoattacks...

No pausing, but the rest works OK if someone else controlling the characters. Basically instead of controlling your whole team, you'd just control your character. You can still combo and stuff.

Sometimes I try to imagine what Multiplayer does to this game. Not often I end up with mental images not terrifying. EA forcing multiplayer in is going to have drastic effect on way combat is designed. No clue what to expect.

Multiplayer was relatively easy to pop in ME franchise; cover shooter pew pew is easiest goddamned gameplay to operate as a dev. Very hard to make anything good and memorable, very easy to make Gears of War. High fantasy cRPG is another story. Swords, spells, blaahs. It is terribly hard to manage Multiplayer-friendly fun combat mechanics around those without simplifying everything to hell. Perhaps they simplify everything to hell.

I will consider nearly any MP component in a DA game as a deal breaker for me.

Same here.

I have no problem with the idea of a different game set in the DA universe that focuses on the multiplayer, though.

I agree there's lots of cover shooters with MP and its relatively easy to do.

But I really want a high-fantasy stab at MP, never seen anything like it before that isn't a MMO. Hence anticipating such a mode for DAI.Image IPB
