oh PLEASE let me be wrong on this! PLEASE. I'm just soo sad, that the tool set didn't come out at release, like has been said repeatedly by those that were trusted at Bioware. It shakes the faith, as this isn't something that 'snuck up' on em, ya know?
/emote waits in fear for the "still under development / anticipating a 1st Q release." announcement his paranoid side says will come shortly.

Yeah, that link isn't exactly new information. If you did have the game, you'd know that the download link itself 404s.

I was totaly afraid of this... in 2008, the Tool Set WAS Dragon age, the single player campaign was the add on to show what the Tool set could do. by 2009, Bioware had become EAware, and products seemed to have changed positions....
Whats this based on ?
I've been following the game for over a year .... and they have certainly been developping the game for more than a year... there's no way they made this amount of content in 12 months.

Basically, unless this is a legal/contractual issue of some kind, I would expect it to be resolved with in few days, not weeks.

My assertion is bassed on my attendance of PAX in 08 and 09. the Focus in 08 was definitly the tool set, hands down it's what the developers talked about over and over was how cool it was going to be to make your own adventures. I'm not saying that they weren't working on the campaign at the time, (they had been working on it for a long time as a mater of fact,) just saying that the emphasis in 2008 at the Penny Arcade Convention in 2008, was on the tool set.
I'll admit it's an exageration if I made it sound like there wasn't even a single player game... that's not the case, just that the Tool set was talked about much MUCH more in 2008, than it was in 2009.
At PAX 2009, it was all about the Campaign and the story, and the visuals, etc. nary a word was mentioned regarding the tool set. it was VERY diffrent from 2008, is the point that I wanted to make. all that said, it's just me QQ'ing over not having the set in my sweaty little paws yet. and dreaming up EA conspiracy theories to feed the paranioa racing through my mind. (and C'mon, EA's done enough bone headed things for it not to be too much of a streach to imagine them Horking things up for Bioware right?)
so ya, it seemed like there was quite the focus change between 2008 and 2009 when looking at the tool set and the prominance that it held at both of those conventions.

I don't understand your sarcasm. You don't need the game to click a link on a website.Myazuid wrote...

I've been following Dragon Age for a lot longer than a year. They have definitely been focused on the game itself since the beginning.

You can see above that the mod tools are merely a bullet-point. The impression I've head since the beginning was that Dragon Age was Bioware's opportunity to create the RPG they've always wanted to, without having to conform to a license-holder's wishes.

Well, that idea certainly should've changed the moment BioWare was acquired by EA. This was supposed to be a PC-exclusive, now it's not. Things change.
