I just had one of the worst PUGs in a recent playthrough on Silver. (Firebase Glacier Hazard, Reapers)
Apparently, the PUG still though that they were still on Bronze, because they constantly split up and tried to take on Banshees by their lonesomes. I, LITERALLY, had to revive at least one of them every wave. And I do mean EVERY WAVE. And don't even get me started on the "disabling X implement" in the third and sixth waves. Wave 10 was the dreaded Escort mission, and they barely kept up without dying over stupid reasons like taking on Ravagers... ALONE! Long story short, let's just say that by the extraction I finally found out that there's a "Sole Survivor" medal.
To be entirely fair, I did come close to dying several times (mainly due to their absent-mindedness, but that's what Survival packs are for...).
What's your worst PUG story?
Worst PUG (so far...)

Yesterday i played Reapers on Jade. There was a Juggy who kept dying, and on wave 10 the objective was targets and he used most of his missiles on enemies that weren't the target, and saved a couple for extraction. We also had two teammates who ragequit on wave 7-9. If I wasn't bored numb from having to use a headshot based setup against Reapers for half an hour, I might have laughed. But as it stood, I just facepalmed a little.

Silver is the testing grounds for many, a place to level up kits from 1 to whatever then leave for a higher level. In my experience Silver has always had some of the best players in this game, but that is XB, may be different on other platforms. If it becomes too frustrating, play with friends or drop a level.

Played a Platinum with a Juggernaut who kept running away (or walking away) from Banshees and instead of being in the enemies face he stayed at mid range in the open. He kept getting mowed down by everything, that was funny

I posted about mine already, but the run down is essentially...
>Go into Gold Match.
>PuG's have it set to U/Geth/U
>We go in... they die. And don't use medi-gels.
>By wave 6 I have 66,000 points.
>Their scores combined come out to less than 25K.
>I couldn't do it.
>Guy leaves.
>Comes back on wave 7 to try and carry with an Asari Infiltrator.
>Mucks it up.
>GG

not sure how it can be your worst pug ever if you actually made extraction. I remember back in the demo days when people would fail on wave 6 of Bronze games. lol

I had some pretty bad PUG's today, which reminded me to never take anything less than optimal kits/weapon load outs into U/U/G PUG's.

I also just had one of my worst in recent memory. London/Collectors/Gold, off a UUG lobby. I practically had to solo the first three waves; guys were dying all over the map, none of them staying together, not once did any of them bother to medi-gel or use a missile. I had to burn through most of my own gel soloing wave 3. In the end I got swarmed by Praetorians and ran out on wave 4; we wiped shortly thereafter.
I'm pretty sure these guys just sucked, as opposed to the leechers I met on FBW on Friday.

I have to be honest, that doesn't really sound like a bad PuG, at all. Pretty much a normal one. I fairly regularly get a 15 revive medal, and it isn't because the people I'm playing with are bad players. And I come close to dying pretty regularly, and often need to use an ops pack to avoid it.
Sounds... average, really. *shrug*

That's why I called it the worst PUG "so far." I have that feeling that things can only get worse from here...

Me I'm the worse pug ever!!! Get me in a game and ill go down every wave use all my missiles for wave one. Ignore objectives then on extract ill stand right outside the circle to purposely screw everyone out of a full extraction!

My luck with PUG's has been a little better.
But there were some funny moments.
I was playing an asari infiltrator doing 4 objectives on wave 10, am perfectly cloaked, all enemies are away from me.
A pug starts coming to cover me, with an atlas rocket chasing him.
I am yelling on the mic to stay away.
Thats not the worse bit.
The atlas timed the rocket so brilliantly that just as the pug reached me, the rocket caught upto him and then BOOOOOM.
Both downed by DOT.
Objective failed.
Good game
