I know this is not possible.

BUT what if you start off as a female noble and use the console to change class?

I know that some parts of the game treat you as a mage, e.g. Wardens Keep, there is a a dialogue option uique to mages, and there are parts that don't treat you as a mage, e.g. First talking to Greagoir during Broken Circle.

Perfect, thanks brazen, I've already started a new game as a human noble turned mage, but I guess I should have searched the forum a bit more anyway.
