So, I'm assuming since they removed the Topic Chris made about it being released today... It's not being released? I don't usually like to complain about delays since I know they can be nescessary but didn't they go on about not specifying a date until they are 100% sure they can release it then? I feel really let down.

Any clarifications or comments on this, please by all means.

I did. That's pertaining to the xbox 360 *version* being removed from the marketplace. I'm asking about the PC version.

Edit: *version*

I'm assuming not but they didn't give a reason aside from the title update for xbox 360 corrupting specs in origins after playing RTO. How that applies to PC at all I do not know but that is the official story. I just hope(but seriously doubt) we can still count on Awakening to launch 3/16/10

Like I said I don't like complaining; but seeing as they deleted the post mysteriously stating that the PC version would be released today, and that nothing was said about it in their Xbox post, it makes me wonder what's going on.Image IPB

They have delayed it yet again according to greywardens.com. Sorry kids no RTO today or tomorrow, even the day after that day or week.

I think it can be inferred that they're madly working on fixing the broken X-Box 360 issues, and that any PC release likely won't come until after those are resolved.

According to your link, greywardens.com are at the same point I am. The most current update for the PC version is still apparently supposed to be for today.

Edit: Here is the last bit of info on their page.

"Priestly:

Hi folks. Return to Ostagar is now unexpectedly available for the Xbox 360Image IPB. We will be making the PC version available later today and will have the PS3 version available later.

Of course, we will keep you posted right on this spot when the PC and the PS3 versions are also available for download. Looks like the console users have their lucky day today!"  -Greywardens.com

I wonder why it was removed and what was wrong with it, since I already downloaded and played through without a problem and never saw or experienced any bugs.

Read between the lines, xbox live already committed an error, surely Bioware or whoever is at the helm now will make amends to not release it to the PC while the error remains.

No word on what the situation is for the PC version. I'm thinking it's delayed again though.

The post hasn't been removed - it was locked and moved to page 2. They linked the main thread (primarily about 360) for all updates on the subject.

The XBOX 360 erorr has to do with the title update for DA:O that was released today - a title update that was not put out for PC players.  Meaning if Bioware are to believed, there is no reason why the PC DLC can't be released.

The sticky says why. Specializations that were previously unlocked were now locked.

As to the release issue, it may also be a problem on the PC version, or they need to test to find out, or they don't want to release versions on one platform without releasing them on another. Generally, multi-platform releases tend to be fubar.

I keep reading blog posts about the Return to Ostagar DLC being delayed and everything, but I was able to download the 360 version and play through it entirely perfectly well while my boyfriend says he has no way to download it. I'm incredibly confused

I've got a name for it:

"Return to Ostagar Forever", in honour of Duke Nuken Forever.

Exactly, and it's almost midnight here Eastern Time; no idea what bioware time it is now, but it shouldn't be more than 2 hours judging from a previous post I read - hopefully some update will be out soon. =/

If your BF plays on Xbox, you may have downloaded it right before they removed it from the Marketplace, and he got there after they removed it; that would be my guess.

It was available for the greater part of the day but just recently was pulled again due to the bug with specializations.

While I'd usually agree that they would wait to release on all platforms simultaneously, this isn't the case. They stated that the PC and 360 versions would be out before the PS3 in the original post I was talking about.

I hope you are correct and I am wrong, I too am tired of being disappointed by repeated launch delays. :(
