all I can say is that there will be a lot of people disappointed given the DLC length and the extremely long delays -- it's VERY short, and it makes you want more, when there's no more to be had.
I don't care if it's 2 minutes long with Sten making a Kitten joke. I'd just like to play it myself.

The Specialization problem had to do with the 360 title update and not the DLC, this should have no bearing on the pc version at all. That much is explained in the sticked post about the 360 version at the top of the forum.Monica21 wrote...
Then it's (again) either also a problem on the PC version, or they're testing to find out if it is, or they're not releasing the PC version until the XBox version is fixed. If the deal was for the PS3 version to wait, then that's fine. I'm going to make an educated guess, based on my experiences with other games and multiplatform releases, that because Microsoft flipped the switch early on the XBox version, they're going to do their best to make sure both are released at the same time.Iris562 wrote...

I wonder why it was removed and what was wrong with it, since I already downloaded and played through without a problem and never saw or experienced any bugs.
As to the release issue, it may also be a problem on the PC version, or they need to test to find out, or they don't want to release versions on one platform without releasing them on another. Generally, multi-platform releases tend to be fubar.
While I'd usually agree that they would wait to release on all platforms simultaneously, this isn't the case. They stated that the PC and 360 versions would be out before the PS3 in the original post I was talking about.
Its one thing to be patient, delays happen and software tends to be complicated at times. I love me some Bioware games but seriously, the way this has been handled has been subpar to say the least. At least a heads up direct from Priestly or Gaider saying one way or the other whats going on with the pc version is all I think alot of us are asking for. If its delayed a day, or week or whatever just come out and say "hey its prolly delayed another week". That way people can stop refreshing the forum every 5 mins and posting so much speculation that it leads to arguements and flamewars.

Very well said but we all know they will not tell us anything so the wars will continue.
I wish we could get a small bit of information since PC gamers helped Bioware become what they are today(more so than 360 or PS3). Oh well though all we can do is wait.
I honestly don't know what is wrong with me, i'm super tired...really disappointed & annoyed but I'm still here hitting F5 every couple of minutes

Given how much time I've gotten out of the game itself so far, I'm figuring on getting a minimum of 5-10 hours out of the DLC. Got to do it with all the different characters, after all!

The cover fee for amateur night at your local nudey bar. Get it in gear Bioware, don't lose out to Bubbles and Champagne.

Yeah, 5 bucks is not much. What else can you buy with it? Maybe 3 beers? 2 packets of chips?

If you're using Internet Explorer it may want to rename it a .zip file automatically under Win7. Change it back to a .dazip file then Run bin_ship\\daupdater.exe and open the DAO_PRC_CP_1_1.0.dazip and install it. You will see it as installed content but unauthorized when you check ingame.

I'm assuming not but they didn't give a reason aside from the title update for xbox 360 corrupting specs in origins after playing RTO. How that applies to PC at all I do not know but that is the official story. I just hope(but seriously doubt) we can still count on Awakening to launch 3/16/10
Who in their right mind will believe awakening will come on time?
So far it's been

1-2 hours? It's actually closer to 30 minutes of gameplay. And only 4 characters have anything to say. Wynne, Dog, Alistair, and Loghain.
Not to say I didn't enjoy it, I liked it a lot. But the delays are utterly INSANE given it's even shorter than Warden's friggin Keep.

Really, only three characters + dog have commentary?
Morrigan doesn't even have any freaking commentary?
Wow.....

Apparantly they have a huge problem with chain of command. Someone says something then realises he can't do what he said and takes it back.
Just like how RTO was at one time going to be discounted to $4. Yeah right.
