I was laughing at the Party, when Zaeed and Garrus are trying to booby-trap your apartment.
Shepard: What are you up to Zaeed
Zaeed: Im rigging your hottub, if a Clone ever tries to take your place, the water will heat up and brun him to death.
Shepard: And If I want to use the hottub?
Zaeed: thats fines, its rigged to not activate to your DNA
Shepard: but, a clone would have the same DNA as me
Zaeed: ......Garrus, the hottub is a no-go....
Zaeed, not the sharpest tool in the Shed.

I haven't done the party with a Zaeed yet, and that made me laugh just reading it.
You can say a lot about Citadel (clones? Really??) but my God it was SO funny, relentless humour.

He's just kinda single-mindedly focused. After all, the rigging itself has got to be a pretty labor-intensive and brain-wracking process. It's just in his efforts to do what he can to protect Shepard, he forgets a few little details. Note that Zaeed is on the comm with Garrus at the time, and he doesn't recognize the flaw in the plan either.

I had the big party, and Zaeed didn't do anything like that. He just lined up bottles on the bar for target practice.
