SR-2 Alliance Edition. Superior layout with the cool submarine interior.

Oh, and the crew actually interact with each other.

This.

I loved that interior of the ME3 Alliance SR2 looked like an actual warship, and that squadmates actually moved around and inteacted with each other.

Just to illustrate how that War Room simply does not fit inside the Normandy's hull, if you were at the QEC, talking to Hackett and suddenly the ship rolled back to its ME2 state, you would be about 15 feet outside Jacob's window, floating in space.

Also, because of that War Room, we lost all the awesome window views of the drive core. That feature really tied the decks together as one unified space.

Cerberus SR2 of course. Leather freaking seats, and an actual science lab instead of that annoying scanner that slows me down ever time I try to move around the ship.

There are things I liked about all versions, the SR-1 stairs, ME3's holo room but overall I prefer the original SR-2.

It had everything Shepard might possibly need, it wasn't untidy and I liked the lighting.

SSV Normandy Sr-1 for me, the nostalgia value alone does it, it was your home. The stairs, the elevator (which never was that slow on pc) and not to forget that epic drive core which is FAR cooler looking then the shaking sphere from ME2/3.

Alliance SR2 has the better layout.
The SR1 was more agile but both Cerberus/Alliance frigates are more powerful.

sr2 all the way, post alliance modifications of coirse. At first it didn't like it but it grew on me. It has better weaponry tjanthe sr1 and we can't forget EDI. The alloance modifications were abit disorienting at first but o actually prefer the layoit now, especially the war room.

Cerberus SR-2 Normandy. I just love the interior of this ship. Plus the mystery of the hanger bay was always interesting. Plus, we could close covers over windows and shoot rubbish into space!

cerberus SR-2, it was brighter, finished and you didn't have to stand in a scanner for 5 minutes to get to another part of the ship.

For nostalgia? The SR-1 hands down. I still feel really sad that it got blown up, and returning to the crash site still gives me goosebumps (yeah, I probably get too attached to fictional stuff). Maybe it's because I've played ME1 more than the other two, or because it's what I had when I really got caught up in Mass Effect. The nostalgia for that ship is strong.

That said, as an actual warship the SR-2 is the better ship. Better defenses, better armament, better everything. It's even got an AI onboard to aid in cyber warfare! Where was that in the SR-1? Oh yeah, Citadel conventions denied that asset. I think I prefer the Alliance makeover too, but again, that might be nostalgia talking. I liked being part of the Alliance in ME1 and missed it in ME2.

The SR1 felt more like an older style submarine to me, in keeping with the stealth ship role. It was never designed as a warfighter, and I liked that. The SR2, while a stronger, faster ship, doesn't have that stealth ship feel to me, and a stealth ship makes more sense in Shepard's role as a Spectre.

The only game that Shepard's Spectre status really mattered was in ME1. It was barely a footnote in ME2, and only referenced in some side quests in ME3. I think Bioware kinda dropped the ball a little in not making more of the Spectre role. It's not a huge deal for me, but it kinda bugs me, and the SR1 felt more like a proper ship for a Spectre. The SR2 is a fine ship, and I like her alot, but I will always prefer the SR1 (elevator not withstanding) because of this.

ME2's SR-2. Seriously, ME3 really messed up the Normandy.

The Cerberus SR2, bar the placement of the armoury. I'm not sure what Cerberus' engineers were thinking.

apart from the fact shepard's locker was never in the shuttle bay in the SR1, it was outside the med bay

SR-1 because I don't have to see a loading screen 5 times in-between missions.

SR-1.
Stealth ship.
Smaller.
Submarine vibe.
Music.
Actual working airlock: you feel like you're traveling, not teleporting.
"XO Pressly has the deck."
No fancy private Cabin: everybody is treated the same aboard.

No idea what Citadel DLC part this is referring to, though.

SR-1 for me. Better design overall ( moving wings and engines, yes please), warship interior, fast, could land on planets, can launch and retrieve the amazing Mako, and last but not least

I prefer the SR-2. Alliance deck plan over Cerberus. I just wish they'd finished the refit before we had to leave Earth, all that 'work in progress' crap everywhere bugged me a little. Made me want to give the order for someone to tidy up. Now that I think of it, it would have been nice if completing the Citadel DLC (where they were conducting repairs & resupply) 'unlocked' a completed map of the Normandy that would replace the default one.

SR1 had the awesome music and that pointless little elevator. It felt like a military ship, too.

But I have to say the Cerberus SR2 is my favourite. It felt alive, had that nice glow and was very spacious.

The Alliance SR2 just feels too dark and un-finished (which it is). It also feels like they tried to make it more militaristic like in ME1, but didn't quite get it right. Also, the turned Mordin's lab into a MEETING ROOM.

I think that the best thing about the SR-2 from ME2 is that it's got that open design, with everything you actually NEED to deal with regularly on one deck. The move away from that didn't please me; requisitions could easily have been on the upper deck.
