I would at least. Getting 360,000 from a rather tough U/U/G on a bad map like Rio is really annoying when you could have seen ~500,000 with any other faction.

I'd still say drop the possession mechanic entirely though. It's "interesting" and "unique," but the Collectors are already as tough as the other factions without it, and it's probably the reason why PS3 players can't play Collectors.

Oh come'on stop complaining! Of course they are the top dog and should not be nerfed or else they will be boring. Collectors really horn your MP skills and compels you to try different things. They are highly unpredictable and thats why they are so much fun

Okay they can be harder but we should be rewarded more for playing against them

Like what? Nerfing an OP faction? Or giving more money? What was unrealistic? Ever? Asking for a patch? Decreasing Phantom DR? What? I dare you. I double dare you.

Possession mechanic is what makes collector bs but fun. It won't be removed and it should stay to make collectors feel more of unexpectable challenge

All of that is unrealistic except for 'nerfing an OP faction'.

Reapers have the perfect balance. Maybe too easy with maxed gear and chars, but they are ENJOYABLE with the least amount of BS. 


You're taking the weakest thing and saying that is perfect balance and that enemies should be balanced around that, because BioWare made some design choices you don't like so that means the other factions aren't balanced or are broken.

I have said it before and I'll say it again: If BioWare nerfed everything you personally complain about, this game would be way too easy. Gold would be as hard as Silver.

I also disagree that Reapers have perfect balance. They're pretty underpowered after all the power creep that has occurred, in my opinion.

If they were designed to be harder than why they give 1/3 less XP? And pay the same?  What kinda logic is that? Biower logic.

But they're not really unexpectable. The only time I've been "surprised" by possession was when I hammered a Praetorian only for it to survive. What did I do? I hammered it again and it died like it should have the first time.

:lol: talks about power-creep. Says Reapers are underpowered because of other faction power-creep. What?  

And Geth ARE fkn broken. There's no denying that. Cerberus is a zerg faction now composed of LOLgoons and 99% DR Phantoms + a crap ton of turrets. That's it. Tactical faction my ass. CoLOLectors were just slapped with everything OP in mind. 

This game got completely catered towards elitists. Who got freaking 9 rockets to missile spam.  Now taht's power-creep. 

Biower logic at it's best.

Yeah they were hardest back when FBWGG existed in it's purest form. Grabbing Geth over counters was easier.

Extra challenge should get rewarded with extra money. Otherwise non-elitists aka. the MAJORITY will choose another faction.

I'd suggest
1) Nerfing scions damage.
2) Slowing praetorian's speed and fix his damned lasers.
3) Nerf health of abombinations.
4) Nerf seeker swarms to the ground.

They really should have added something for reaper.
Brutes and banshees are too harmless, make banshee stop teleporting and throw 4 warpballs at once then they will be much better challenge. Of course, it won't happen though

Possesion is actually a very good mechanic that already exists in most coop mmo dungeons in the form of enrage. The idea being that if you do not kill everything fast enough they enrage and wipe you. In mass effect it manifests as being a chance and the longer they are alive the more likely they are going to possess. In terms of difficulty I believe this to be an actual solid way of increasing difficulty rather than just slapping more bosses in your face and doubling their health (platinum) which is just kinda silly and not much harder for good players working fast and together.
if you don't like it you could always choose another faction. I mean yeah collectors are likely more difficult than the others but that's just how the game works one faction will always be hardest and the devs recognize it so they don't even show in plat unless you pick collectors or random them. So people who shouldn't be playing plat cant even **** about them showing up in every plat game.

I liked the way the factions were balanced at launch.

Cerberus was the easiest, but also very fun to play as. They would tactically assault your position and you'd have to think in order to beat them. Now Dragoons and Phantoms just chase you around the map until you get mowed down by a turret or get magnetsworded by a phantom.

Geth were slow to approach, but if you let them get close you were screwed, which was an interesting dilemma. Now they just stun you until you die, then stun you when you get back up until you die again. Worst faction IMO.

Reapers were a bit more difficult but if you played smart they weren't so bad. This was also back when the Banshee scream was still scary. Now that magnet hands isn't as much of an issue anymore, Reapers are the best faction to fight.

TL;DR - Balance at launch was better than it is now. Reapers haven't changed much so they're the best faction.
