Nope, was not aware of this...  You have my interest.  I'm sure you know of the objectives I'm referring to.  I'd be interested to hear how you help new people through it.  I did a Goddess at the request of someone I was helping... we extracted but it was far from fun.  That's when I decided that I'd stick to maps I'm extremely comfortable with.  Rio / Giant are the easiest 'legit' platinum runs for me.  Glacier is my speed run map, but I'm not expecting everyone to have the capability to pull that off.  Besides, Team AreleX is MUCH better equip'd to teach speed runs than I am.  I bow to their excellence.

I honestly meant no disrespect to you or the other guy for your comments... I just don't want this thread to turn into a "Try this map" thread...

I got hooked up with Das Rouse, Mustang and SilentStep through game changers.  They are very helpful and I think you would like playing with them.  Great guys, fun to play with, and will offer advice and suggestions if asked, but mostly just let you be you.

In all seriousness, I've received 58 messages on XBL in regards to this thread, well before Rouse or Mus7ang chimed in.  33 of them came from the same individual trolling me with "Help me be 1337!"  10 were from another individual saying something I won't repeat on the forums.  Two of them have been legit requests.  The rest were from people who clearly have no issues running platinum, according to their map mastery platinum waves completed.  I've also had one legit request via messages on here.

So yeah, I'm a little pissed at the community right now.  I honestly meant no disrespect to Rouse or Mus7ang and appreciate their expertise on other maps.  I look forward to learning from them.  Nonetheless, since I'm the one holding this particular lobby, I plan on doing things the way I'm most comfortable with.

Simply put, comments like yours are just unwarranted in a thread that is designed to help others.  I don't appreciate them and clearly want them to stop.  So thank you, for continuing my growing disgust toward this community.

Thankfully there are people like Rouse and Mus7ang that help alleviate my distaste for the community.  They clearly have knowledge to be shared and I hope other people take advantage of it.  But given what I'm comfortable teaching, I'll be sticking to Rio, Giant, and maybe a few others at people's personal request.  (In my OP, I did say likely rio or giant... not definite)

I've watched a ton of vids from INVADERONE and Caineghis (sp?).  I've done a few speed runs on Giant as a result but haven't ventured into the others as people I play with don't care to give them a try.  I am EXTREMELY interested in giving the london speed run a try... *nudge nudge*

Sure, but that map is finecky with the spawns.  I think Goddess is the less complicated way.  Less switching around and such.

Thing is, I HATE london.  I want the chance to spit in that maps face by completing it in under 13 minutes.  It would make me happy...  Anywho, I'm always up for speed runs, regardless of the map.  I understand how Goddess is done but haven't put it to the test.  Sounds like a fun time to me!

I would not mind getting a few more tips and getting some decent teammates for Platinum. I have not played much since mid-late August last year, after Earth was released. I played a good bit of platinum back then (mostly farming/campy-style >.>), but my skills have gone into decline from the hiatus I took. I'm just starting to get back into it, and managed to complete this past challenge thanks to a good team who carried me.

GT is Kalanosis. I hope to play some games with you all soon.

I hope you enjoyed those 20 minute Jade runs we did the other day. Sucks we didn't get devices in those games. Hopefully that helps and expands your options when helping others.
