I don't mind them at all. Actually I would put them as one of the easier races. They all have very large heads aside from the abominations.

Lulz, I played both ME1 and ME2 on insanity, except krogan battlemaster on Therum(who is the single hardest enemy in the series) all enemies are easy. That krogan even has wiki article.

ME1 snipers were somewhat tough, because they can oneshot you with assassination. 

The most difficult fight in ME 2 was with Praetorian on Horizon. Nuff said.


Ah..I remember that guy. He becomes a lot easier if you spam biotic abilties on him. Liara and Kaiden ftw.

How to say this?

I hate collectors because they are hard. Silver collectors is harder than gold reapers.
BUT--
Please don't change them. Geth are not hard--they also aren't any fun. Cerberus isn't hard--but I fail more against them than any other faction. (playing, playing, character spins around, takes sword through gut--I use the F-word a bunch...)

Collectors are very doable, I just have play smart. So leave them the way they are.

Then pay more for Collectors, give more credits and experience. Now you get same money and LESS experience for fighting considerably harder enemy.

The Scion and Seeker Swarms are the only things that need some sort of nerf if you ask me. The Praetorian post death ass laser is a bit of a bummer, but I feel like that would require a patch. Anwyay, the faction was meant to be challenging. I'd like them to retain that degree of challenge without being downright cheap.

Nerf the Scion's arm cannon damage, and Krysae the hell outta the Seeker/Plague Swarm's durability. Once those two happen, I don't think I'll have any problem with the Collectors. Well...aside from my system freezing anyway.

Haha, so true. I'll admit, I always laugh when I hear what other players have to say upon hearing that clicking noise the first wave.

My real problem comes from the Praeprae's spawning in pairs and then motoring up to your face to shank you to death or sync kill while being entirely immune to powers. Their lasers hitting three times in one cluster is annoying, especially when it passes through walls.

Oh, Sions stun locking you to death is also annoying...so is the regular trooper melee stunning you for both hits...and I think I could write a thesis on why Seekers are litterally toxic to gameplay and fun, especially since they do damage and strip your powers and go through cover and take too many hits and go AoE and...you get the idea.

Honestly, I enjoy them being a challenge...I just think they need a few numbers messed with because I refuse to take any power reliant class against the collectors right now.

Swarms are complete and utter BS and I could deal with litterally everything else if they didn't have those swarms, or if those swarms lasted only as long as your longest CD, or if they didn't nuke your shields through cover and around walls. That sort of thing

The only thing about Collectors that makes them "easier" is they have slightly larger heads, though that gets severely offset by the fact of how aggressive they are (Even in Bronze) and how they have a better ability to just simply walk out of the way of bullets or powers, not to mention I have noticed they dodge a hell of a lot more too

I remember that info graphic a while ago that Collector causes the most mission fails out of any faction.

On a anecdotal note, I remember doing each faction on Platinum and me and my friends saved Collector for last, thinking it would be the hardest. We lost tons of equipment over the first two waves, thinking that this may not work well.

Then the next faction joined in. And the game became EASIER. Having another faction take up spawns from the Collectors made waves much easier. When Platinum's wave 2 is harder than wave 10, something may be up.

I'd just like if the Collector's health was a bit LESS than other units. That way, when they become possessed and double that health, they're a good deal stronger. 80%-160% seems much better than 120%-240%.

I' m sure that figure rises exponentially when moving to higher difficulties, especially plat and gold.

The big problem with the collectors are Scions , they are clearly overpowered and spawn like geth pyros , they are not even considered like boss targets , there are just too many/waves for the kind of firepower and health they have.

Also there needs to be a serious nerf in the possession system , the game should not allow 3 possessed scions to exist at the same time.

I'm not even talking about the fact that power class are already in trouble in gold/plat and that the collectors make it even worse with possessed swarms that have more life than an enraged krogan warlord.

Forgot about pretorian completely invincible to powers 90% of the time.
TAKE THAT POWER class !! GO GET A HARRIER !!!

Collectors are supposed to be hard , but it's hurting the game's character variety.

They are the only faction I cant get out of a freaking Gold lobby with all my consumables in a Spitfire carrying Juggy. I still like playing them though.

Just add a separate faction of collectors without possession. Then, buff collectors with possession and give extra credits for fighting them.

Do keep in mind that the Collectors have the easiest to hit weakpoints of any faction. The fact that it's pretty trivial to keep up a steady stream of headshots against them mitigates the huge health values a bit.

The only thing that really is out of control is the Praetorian's melee. And even that can be avoided if your team can actually focus fire.

Captains hit soo damn hard its insane! I dont mind Scions as long as you can see them they are big targets.. my biggest gripe is Capitan damage and swarm nukes of death!

Agreed.

For a bunch of flies, the swarmers has too much health. Scions nuke cannon is op as ****. Praetorian laser need a nerf too.

What you should get is you can one-shot the troopers in the head but you can't one-shot the bugs.

Honestly, if you got rid of the bugs, I think they would be balanced.  And they would still have other tricks like the Praetorian Beams through walls and Scions shooting around corners.

I know it would take a patch, but my ideal fix would be to make the bugs die instantly to any AOE effect.  This way, it makes sense that it's hard to kill them with bullets, but anything with an area takes them out. becaus you know, it's a bunch of tiny bugs.
