Most people seem to be pretty omni-bow centric with this character, but over the weekend, I decided to try him out as an almost entirely defensive character.
I go full fitness, take cain trip mine, maxed power damage and charge regeneration, and I only take one of the arrow powers to max for the extra grenade capacity.
You can run with whatever weapon you want, but just for the sake of being truly defensive, I went with the Falcon (each shot is aoe and staggers), with incendiary ammo for fun. The only power I used was the mines, absolutlely zero omni bow.
I tried this out all weekend and loved it. I basically just set up a tactical area, surrounded myself with trip mines, and hit people from afar with the falcon. If they came to my location, they got destroyed.
Obviously, you have to change things up for objectives, but I found some pretty neat ways to set up the mines. Even in a team that was nuts on destroying everything quickly (all of these runs were done on gold), my score would eventually rise to the top as the waves went on. Don't think I ever ended at under 100k, and top was 160K (carrying a bad team).
Was oddly satisfying to just sit back and enjoy taking down anything that came my way.
As I said, I'm sure people have done this before, but just thought I'd share it.
