looking forward to it
might have to wait until tonight or tomorrow though. but it should be fun.
1v1, gold.... vs.... cerberus? Reapers? Collectors?
Can do all, just prefer not to do geth
sweet, so... gold reapers, good for both classes. we can do a best of three if you like and rotate host.
also, no rockets. if it's targets, we each take two and call it (minimal collateral). hack, we only kill what gets too close. devices, we don't kill unless absolutely required, same for any pizzas and escorts. all the killing is done waves 1,2,4,5,7,8,9,extraction
just let me know when you're on dude.
lulz, you ninja'ed my rules.
That sounds fine. We should have a moderator host that sits back and eats popcorn. I would vote Arctican, but he is never on >
Get invaderone to do it. He is skilled enough to do the objectives without killing anything,(and he can kill only the target on assasination,) and he can capture the fun. This will be the very first thread I have ever bookmarked on bsn.

aside from ashen earth, I haven't seen anyone willingly taking a paladin into gold or platinum.
And then I was like, "He's not serious..."
I am being serious.
In the last 2-3 months of playing i haven't seen a single paladin. I mostly play with friends, and they don't use them. When i pug, its usually just turian ghosts and no paladins

Not liking Snap Freeze is your opinion. It's not right or wrong. But, as we can see your opinion is definitely in the minority.
I like snap freeze.
I knew my take on it would be in the minority.

I find that good players generally don't use him because running around spamming SF, while effective, isn't very interesting.
I certainly don't use him much, but that doesn't mean I don't think he's a very strong kit.

Fine. No platinum, but you'll have to do Gold Geth Condor then.
Oooo I love it. Spectre vs Sprectre. The Krogan Soldier vs the Turian Sentinel. Shall we open up the bets?
hey, this is my challenge mother f**ker. you can take bets, but no calling on the stipulations <_<
Sure sure, I was half-joking with Stikman. I'm just enjoying the show. Please continue.

also, doing it wrong if not using a CSMGX with the Paladin. i also typically roll with an Expert Package to help CDs and give some more "umph" to the CSMG.
i have a friend on here, KJ, who is the BEST Paladin i've ever seen. she has rocked it in quite a few Plat matches and made it look quite easy. it wasn't until i got her build tips that i could even use this kit. in fact, it was my most hated. now, easily one of my favs
Aw.. thanks.
This thread is funny.

It's not fit for the AIU though. Bioware hasn't known what they were doing since Earth DLC.

Snap freeze is a lot easier to prime than all of those, and it's not limited by grenades... It's definitely the better primer. Plus, snap freeze is great crowd control.

I'd agree except for that 6 ammo packs + grenade gear is just too easy to have around.
+ snap freeze doesn't do much in terms of crowd control vs. armored targets as they just take the white spray in the face without budging.

Someone forgot that Snap Freeze gets a 100% damage bonus to Tech Explosions, without even taking that evolution.
Considering that warp+incendiary ammo is much more effective, i don't see how the bug is that great....
or inferno grenades + incendiary ammo.

Also, one power by itself is only so good, take it context of the whole kit. SF + shield bash is always a delight.

Spamming SF by itself is stupid.

Here's the thing if you have two equally skilled players playing for score alone, the Paladin might suffer if the other player is playing a class with great weapon passives, grenades, or some movement speed like the Fury. The Paladin can take down enemies as fast as the other classes but most of his damage comes for CQC. So in that instance I could see Stikman saying the Paladin is underwhelming because for some it's all about which one can get to the spawns first.
Its one way to put it, yes.
Though the thread isn't about the paladin, he just can't compete with some of the other well-versed CQC classes.
The only time he shines is when he is with a team of techies spamming explosions together.
As far as snap freeze goes, BSN has so many features they Idolatrously look to (Claymore)

After reading the title again, had to see what argument you were making.
I have a different take on the Paladin, I think he is one of the most versatile characters. He has energy drain, snap freeze and incinerate and can create havoc against almost any faction, plus his melee is probably my favorite.
A bit of a "jack-of-all-trades" and master of none, but not a one-trick pony either.
But your thread title made me look.

Would also depend on the faction. Paladin is pretty godly against the Geth while the Fury will destroy Reapers and Collector easily.

Paladin sucks. Buff pls.
Also, the 10% debuff may be less than that of proxy mine, but the AIU brings a further 25% multiplicative SHOTGUN cloak damage. Well, on host anyway.
