So there I was playing through the Citadel DLC. I was minding my own business as I casually stole an AR Ultralight Materials mod from a store shelf like it ain't no thing, only when I turned around there were 3 CAT6 guys directly behind me just wandering aimlessly for a moment untill they all took cover on a wall that was on my side, completely and utterly oblivious to my presence when I was directly in their line of sight and more than close enough to be spotted. It was literally like they were lining up to be executed by me via a bullet to the head.
Any of you guys have experiences of enemy AI screwups of your own? If this thread is in the wrong section, feel free to move it.
Ever had any instances of derpy enemy AI? If so share! (dumb AI moments in ME1 and 2 also welcome)

Enemy AI can be a little screwy at times in the N7: Cerberus Lab and N7: Communications Hub missions. Like you, I have seen enemies take cover and not do anything even though I am right beside them, regardless of class. Probably because of how the AI routines are programmed combined with the mission layout.

I just remembered something from ME2, though it's a squaddie AI fail. It was the geth colossus fight on Haestrom, and after finally managing to reach the correct location on the right side, I charged my Cain at the thing to finish the fight, and just a split second before the mini nuke fired, Miranda passed by In front of me out of literally nowhere. The Cain hit her and, instant Critical Mission Failure. I was dumbstruck, pissed and in a laughing fit all at once.

Mass Effect 2: Squadmates standing up for no reason, only to get riddled with projectiles, wasting time and medi-gel.
Not enemy AI, but still pretty derpy.

I've had many brutes walk up to me then give up faith in the reapers and accept death.

ME1 had the worst AI for both squadmates and enemies. There were way too many times my squadmates boxed me into a corner in the middle of a firefight or just shot the ground/ceiling even if there were other enemies or no enemies around. And while husks might have been at their most powerful in the first game (because of shields and the EM pulse attack) their pathfinding sucked to the point that they'd just run in circles while you shot them in some situations.
