Such is the nature of an attention ****.

Anyway, I ran out of popcorn and pizza, somebody give me more snacks!

And I can't believe I saw more arguments about Claymore vs other shotguns, we all know the KATANA is the true queen.... when modified in coalesced of course.=]

I once got into a lobby where a guy had a modified Avenger and for the first time it was indeed 'deadly when fired on full auto'

It is not just the lack of videos, but the maths and inability of others to replicate OHKs on Platinum Phantoms, which makes your credibility dubious.

Edit: by OHK, I was referring to heavy melee, the subject of this thread.  As pointed out below, it is possible to OHK Platinum Phantoms with Biotic Hammer etc.

OHK'ing platinum phantoms is possible for the warlord; brutes... na.

A full melee spec, strength enhancer III, juggernaut shield, biotic hammer with full passive power damage and full damage in biotic hammer is enough to OHK a platinum phantom, but you need your MA and rage bonuses active otherwise it won't be an OHK.

It is impossible to kill a phantom in 1 hit using the charging heavy melee; even with full bonuses active.

You can also OHK pyros using biotic hammer and the 3hK-K-K-KOMBO will do substantial damage to bosses, 3 biotic hammer HMs will kill an atlas when you spec for damage... as for Brutes.... No, even with a FE it's impossible to OHK them.

I will give it another check later on, though as I said my build wasn't exactly the same as his(Basically he is lacking a 30% bonus to melee while in rage, which I've had.)

Well, it IS pretty obvious.

Try the exact same build/equipment and watch how you don't even come close to matching his damage output.

And I'm not even talking about the crappy AI.

Heh, I don't think I'd live long enough to get comparable results :P
I didn't really notice the OHKs in question until after I posted and saw them pointed out. Without rewatching the video, I don't recall that EVERY kill was as easy, and I've seen lag/low fps do more miraculous things (both good and bad). Also, from the (not very many) times I've played Warlord, I've noticed him performing unimaginably well at times, and pitifully at other times. I'll give him another whirl soon though - not to test the theories in here, but because watching Link's vid actually inspires me to do so.

Not sure what he is using, but I wouldn't say that is necessarily the case unless you analyzed the video and found that indeed every frame is different than the previous one.  Otherwise I could record at 20 and then edit / compress to whatever framerate I wanted.

I was only paying attention for sync kills and enemy accuracy when I watched the first couple of waves.  Thought the kill rate was quick, but I didn't really pay attention to build.  I should have known it was a little fishy anyway given that I run full damage biotic hammer instead of extra charge.

As for some other comments about users having an axe to grind, for most of us out here there is not such thing.  However, I think many people on PC are upset because cheating blemishes all of our "reputations," even someone like me who isn't even a minor BSN celebrity.

First of all, I'm not the best player, but I can survive long enough to get a rage going and try my luck at them small b.... here are my results:

First build

I can one shot a phantom with a biotic charged hammer strike, but a running heavy melee drops her barriers to 1 bar. Despite being staggered, she can recover before I can use a hammer strike and guts me.

Second build

This got me a 1ko with biotic charged hammer strike on a phantom, but his running heavy melee drops the barriers down to 1, same as above, and despite the phantom being staggered I get gutted.

I'm confused, I thought it was an awesome video :crying:

Well, technically one can use editors and transform a 5 FPS video into a 60 FPS - with 60 different frames each second. There is no way you can determine the recording FPS without having the original file.

I do not have the perfect tool to analyze the frame rate of the video, but I can say that his frame rate is between 25-29. When the frame rate hits 25 occasionally, I guess that it is not adjusted to
the target frame rate of 29 by inserting missing frames. But you are right, it seems too vague...

I think at this point it is academic anyway.

And on top of that, calling players out for framerate has never actually been done aloud on BSN.

But the damage theory and attempts to replicate is pretty damning stuff, IMO.

In-game FPS and video capture FPS are 2 separate things though.

My solo-Gold vid (link in sig) was at the in-game default 62FPS, while I had to set Dxtory to record at 30FPS @ 720p HD.  I only currently have dual platter HDDs and recording at anything higher than 30FPS @ 720p causes the recording to become a slideshow.  Perhaps when I can afford dual SSDs, I can video cap at a 1:1 framerate ratio with the game.

Also, IIRC, YouTube doesn't stream anything higher than 30FPS anyway, even if the uploaded vid has a higher FPS, due to bandwidth limitations.

Why does this guy still have his account anyway? He is a confirmed cheat using the 6/6/6/6/6 glitch. A BioDev 100% saw the post(that locked Plat solo one) with the proof since he closed it(Talking to you BroJo) so again, why isn't Link banned?

People have been banned for exploiting the 6All glitch right? So why wasn't Link when it was proven and seen by at LEAST 1 bioware dev? I really hope it's not because that little clique is all buddy buddy with BroJo.

I can care less if Link cheated or wants to cheat. But when it's plastered all over BSN and a Bioware dev see's it and nothing happens, yet others are banned for the same glitch, something isn't right.

Yes, but we were discussing capturing at higher framerate than the game is rendering, not capturing less frames than the game is rendering. :)

Academic at this point.

Sure, I do understand that... I already stated my method of 'guessing' the in game frame rate was not that great

There is no proof whatsoever that Link actually took advantage of the 6/6/6/6/6 glitch in a game. It was merely on his N7HQ. That might have something to do with that.

Also, I believe players are banned everytime there is a ban wave, not between waves, am I right? So, if you want to see Link banned, you'll have to wait for the next ban wave.

No, it has been done multiple times.  Back when RJ was first posting solos, people accused him of cheating and having solo EZ mode by having low framerate on his poor prehistoric computer.

That isn't how I would have described the history exactly.

It is true that people accused RJ of cheating.  That was a bit before any of the big threads on framerate.

I would agree that in the first thread I recall on framerate, some people jokingly called it the "RedJohn Effect."  I don't recall anyone trashing RedJohn any time recently though.  Could be wrong.

The point is that in most solo threads I have read, people don't often say much about framerate.  It is however fairly common in the xbox v console trash talking sessions.  But that is mostly done in jest.
