It's not as common as other accusations, and sometimes it is in jest, but my point was just that people have seriously leveled that as an accusation at others for cheating.  I agree it's not the most common thing, but it's there.  And I'm pretty sure that some of those accusations are what eventually led people to investigate whether or not framerate really affected difficulty.  You also had people on both extremes of the argument, those claiming that it had no effect at all, and those claiming the effect was such that it made you invulnerable.  

But of course all of that is also colored by the standard hyperbole of the BSN.

Yes the funny thing is, people call bs everything when I only got ultra bad framerate when recording, but even if enemies went stupid with low framerate i wouldn't be able to take any advantage of it because my aiming would be screwed as well, that's why i only recorded only extractions, everytime.

If I don't record I could play 28-33-35 while soloing, 25-28 with a team.

Besides it was tested that my host doesn't make enemies act in slow motion or make enemies look at me in a friendly way:wizard:, there is lag yes, but my AI is completely normal.

Unfortunate for PC players that are legit . Feneckus said it like any honest player would say that link's efforts have cast a credibility gap on anything on the PC side ( he said it better ).

I have some friends who have soloed platinum and posted videos, and I have no doubts about their honesty. They should be mad as hell at link, IMO, I know I would be

In all honesty, I'm a PC player, and if Link is actually definitely proven to be a cheater, I won't be mad at all. I couldn't care less actually. All I would feel is disappointment and compassion.

You go down faster when playing @ 60+ FPS on Silver than @ 30- FPS on Platinum.

That doesn't mean that those who don't have the hardware to play @ 60 FPS are cheating and/or bad players, but they do have a much easier game and can do things which are impossible at higher frame rates.

In my games there are two possible outcomes when there are two Ravangers with a clean line of sight. I either die or get cover and live, yet in Link's video he completely ignores them for a while and doesn't take any noticeable damage. That's why videos like this one have little value in my opinion b/c I play a different game.

This is bordering as tragic cuz I have talked to Link privately before and he is a very likable dude!

He is also a good player which makes this even worse. Why even use an unfair advantage when there is no need too.

Question: At the 9:40 mark in the video it appears that the normal krogan heavy melee did no damage to the ravager even though there's clearly an impact sound effect. I've noticed this a number of times with the Warlord, including versus Marauders who took no damage despite doing the stagger animation -- I was hosting at the time much like Link is here. Anybody else notice this in their Warlording?

Yup, the regular "charge melee" is bugged. Fizzles and deals no damage even on host around 30-40% of the time. Use hammer strikes; better tracking and they hit harder.

Heavy melee always occasionally fizzled off host, but now it fizzles on host too....

I have played and solo'd @ 60FPS and the difference is no as big as you describe.

Actually the game is easier for me @ 60 FPS because of my aiming, it feels so fluid that I wondered how teammates that plays like that allow me to kill stuff while we play.

Perhaps.  But even with relatively low framerate, a Ravager will hit you at close range if you are just standing and not moving.  Because despite the fact that AI is tied to framerate, 20fps or so still should give them time to get close enough to hitting a stationary target.

Of course that wasn't the accusation even being levied.  It is that he modified how often the enemy AI is updating player location.  Which is a direct modification.  That may be partially conjecture and not directly provable.  Or at least not as easily demonstrable as attack damage to enemies.

At the end of the day, I solo or do whatever to prove something to myself, not to anyone else. It is disappointing, but it certainly doesn't make me angry if another player cheats or not.
