In reply to Red John.. your suspicion is funny seeing as banshees don't need to melee before syncing. In fact, if you manage to make a banshee melee you just lucked out, usually.

Multiple confirmations of people unable to reproduce damage seen in Link's now private video...

Messed around with the warlord as well on Xbox and experienced completely different results than I'd expect based off watching Link's video. Sorry, but it became obvious to me very quickly Link and I are playing two completely different games.
