Oh, good, I'm relieved you didn't really mean Witherfang but the Lady of the Forest instead. I was afraid that the DA3 forum posters were beginning to creep in here. Apparently, nothing is too depraved to ask for in these forums. As far as Zanthian and the Lady? I can't see it, but that's because Zanthian is too angry and she's too soothing. She may have been able to heal him had he let her get close.

I don't think the lady is Zathrian's child. she's a spirit probably older than he is who he bound to a wolf.
anyways, I thought the tension was obvious. Just listen to him describe her so poetically at the top of the temple stairs when your party goes back to retrieve him from the camp. He sounds smitten.

Swiftrunner/Lady of the Forest seems more likely.
The Lady of the Forest/Witherfang is quite literally the avatar of the Brecilian Forest itself. She says as much herself, if you question her a bit. Like the forest, she/it embodies both the beauty of nature and its savagery.
