I cried when XXXXX got stabbed and was in the hospital dieing(hospital death scene was way to close to my real reality, brought back memories). I loved so many other scenes, the bartender's revelation, sister's saving mission, mordin... the geth/quarian storyline/peace. The SP was great right up until the garbage ending that walters and hudson wrote sans the rest of the writing team.
The multiplayer is all that has keep me connected to Mass Effect. Thanks to the multiplayer team for taking what was clearly an EA pushed afterthought and turning it into the saving grace of ME3. You pretty much redeemed Mass Effect in alot of our eyes.

Yes. Very wrong.
Believe me, it's worth every penny. It almost doubles the size of SP, adds loads of mini games, and gives you ways of earning unlimited credits in a single play-through. Plus every minute of it is pure comedy gold.
EDIT: Hell, watching Joker try to get free drinks from that Asari bartender was practically worth the money on its own.

The ending of Mass Effect 3 kind of got me down... I'm also feeling lazy to play through the entire series again. I made a lot of mistakes my first time around, but I don't think I feel like another 100+ hour playthrough to correct them right away.
Is it bad to just focus on multiplayer? I love the Mass Effect universe and like to feel involved in it but somehow I don't feel intersted in Commander Shepard's story anymore.
You and I feel the same way - asn so do a lot of people I know.
The writers dropped the ball on ME3. They forgot good storytelling. No boss fight. New bad guy in the last few minutes of the game. No way to win. Space magic and plot holes is the way to go (apparently). Choices don't matter for much - nothing that was advertised feels like it became a reality. The polish of ME 1 and 2 are just not present in ME3.
I don't think that Bioware has the right people in the right places anymore. They lost the good writers at the end of ME1. We've been losing really amazing talent over the course of the series - and you see what we are left with. That magic that was ME1 and 2 is forever gone - and you see that plainly in ME3.
The MP is amazing and fun. its our last chance to enjoy the game in any form - unless you do as I am. I'm going to play ME 1 and 2 and just skip 3 entirely.
No ME3 DLC for me. No more pre-ordering anything from Bioware. No more blind trust and faith in them. If they want my credits, they will have to show me that 1) they can stop lying, 2) hire some writers worth more than minimum wage with resumes that include 'worked at Walmart as a bathroom facilities cleaning technician', 3) start listening to the fans.
I play games to have fun and to win. ME3 was none of those. Well, ME3 SP anyhow. MP is a ton of un and a breath of fresh air compared to the stank of ME3 SP.

However the combat is exhilarating and the MP has added even more options and powers into the mix, it's perfect for me, I don't even want to see the DLC stories anymore, I don't want new pages in my book.

the first time since launch and im finding it be nowhere near as
fun anymore as the mp.
For every great part of the campaign such
as the missions on Mars and Tuchanka, there are as many parts
that i absolutely detest like the entire trip through the Geth server.
Its funny before the launch of the game i was entirely interested in the
single player only. I thought the multiplayer was going to be a lackluster
addition that would quickly die off.
The demo quickly proved how very wrong i was. 500 hours of multiplayer
later, it is now the single player that feels like the gimmicky add on instead

I've only completed the SP game once. I might fiddle with an editor to change choices made prior to ME3 for variation. Also, I wanna try out the Infiltrator in SP/Insanity. The Soldier was kinda hard to play on Insanity.
I never played the DLCs.
What? I gave up on the soldier because it was too cheesy. I find Vanguard to be harder. Damn time dilation.

It just felt so weird and alien to me. The weapons just did too much damage, and I didn't feel like playing on insanity. All the new powers in MP have spoiled me too, I guess.

Same here ! I haven't started SP since May last year and don't really intend to do so. MP has been a real catharsis and helped me let go of the SP's bad ending.

Long time no see bro! Thank you guys for your kind support.
It is sad that we have to let ME3 SP go. All of our fun dreams and hopes of saving the galaxy were trashed by some pathetic writing. Mac Walters should be ashamed of that tripe he wrote.
Bioware thinks that we forgot all of their promises. They think we forgot all of the hype. All of that talk from Casey Hudson about how its not going to be A,B, or C endings, but totally different and amazing.
I'm not forgetting any of the lies. I'm not forgetting that they threw it in everyones face with the 'artistic integrity' card.
While I am not happy with Bioware, I do want them to learn from this and grow. They have the potential to be really amazing - the best of the best really. I think they should fire Mac and Casey though, and move on.
Fundamentally, we as players play to have fun. This is something NO lead writer or project lead should ever forget. This is basic simple stuff - and if you forget it you need to be "recalibrated". I play to WIN. I want boss fights, victories - hard struggles to get there and maybe lose some friends on the way. Choosing between Ash and Kaidan was never fun. I've killed Kaidan more times than I can count. Some people would call that monsterous! The arguments that can arise from one decision are deep and heartfelt among the fans. THESE are the moments that we lived as players. We were there - we felt the impact of the decisions.
Bioware needs to reconnect with its fans. They need to be truthful with their fans. They need - and desperately need - a good lead writer thats not suffering from depression. They need to go back to the fundamentals, get good a director and a good lead writer. If they do these things I think Bioware will have a good chance at continuing onward as a great game making company.

I have not yet played through the SP because of the ending.
For me this ending does not yet exist (and maybe never will).
