I have already played through the game and took a break from it for a while. Now when I start it there is a message in the top left that says Physx>cpu. I have tried disabling the physx in my nvidia options and no result. I am using a GTX 260 an athlon 64 X2 6400. I have the latest editions of both the drivers and the physx software from nvidia.

Open Windows Control Panel -> Nvidia Control Center -> 3D Settings menu -> Disable "Show PhysX Visual Indicator"

This option is not in my nvidia control panel. The only thing is to disable GPU physx. There is no visual indicator mentioned.

That's odd indeed... It should be there in menu next to 'View' and 'Help' entries. I had the same problem and solved it this way. Not sure why there's no '3D Settings' in your control panel but here's what I found on other forum:

it took me a bit of fiddling around to find though , as the 3d setting on the toolbar doesnt show unless you are in the physx part of the panel.

OK that screenshot appears to be windows vista or 7. I am on Win XP 32bit, and my nvidia control panel does not look like that.

Ugh, ok I fixed the problem by un/reinstalling both my drivers and PhysX. 3d settings now has the option you indicated. Thanks everyone.

Max, Make sure you're running the latest nVidia driver/control panel setup. Along the top, there should be a button/tab/list/option for 3D settings (in the row with File, Edit, etc). If you're not running the latest version or close to it, that tab may not be there. If it is, open it and uncheck the only option in there to disable the visual indicator and you should be good to go.
As far as I know, nVidia's control panel is setup the same for all Windows OS.
