Usually when I do get a target reset, I will drag the Praetorian away then circle around to try to pick off the captain if I get a target change.  There is a Praetorian cap on most Gold waves in the balance changes. You might want to look at that and consider it when planning your missiles. A lot of people save missiles when soloing but sometimes that is a mistaken IMO, kill a large part of the budget early on and you don't use as many consumables over all in the wave. If I get a large spawn I always take it on wave 4 onward. Save a few for 10 and you need to rocket some on 8 to make things easier.


This. Similar to speed running. The geth scanner was an asset but armoured compartments are so enticing for that very reason on Gold. I want to say the Praetorian cap is 6 on double Praetorian wave and 4 Possessed Praetorians on wave 8. That sound correct?

I've completely stopped playing collectors/geth on platinum because of how broken they are, and the matches go on in a breeze. I'd suggest you avoid them too, or if you really want to fight collectors, pick your best infiltrator. Geth, i just want to avoid unless i want some fun time with reegar kroguard.

I relish in the challenge that they present. I used to think that using a power based class to fight the Collector faction was a death sentence. With some help from my squad and bsn'ers alike, that notion is rapidly fading. My battlefield awareness is at an all time high. You have to approach them differently because of the way the Collectors attack from multiple angles and their units utilize different strategies. For what it is worth, fighting them is improving my game.

Very true, I just prefer the Asari's dodge to the human combat roll. The only disadvantage is it uses barriers each time you use it. Also bear in mind "level 9", I had to give up something in order to get the DPS up, or so I thought. Turns out I shot myself in the foot by effectively reducing my crowd control capabilities. Fighting them is just adding frustration. Geth- stunlock, cheating rocket troopers and bizzare damage and range of pyro's; Collectors- Praetorians cover penetrating lazers, ridiculous abominations, seeker swarns, scion cluster grenade spam and stunlock cannon, and ridiculous damage and accuracy of possessed captains. 

If you like to torture yourself, i'd suggest them whole-heartedly
