Instead I found another message on forums saying that forget it, no DLC.

I would rather they release the DLC when it is READY, instead of releasing it unfinished because they promised a certain date.
To those that already bought your points. No one forced you to do so.
Seems a bit like some people whine for the sake of whining atm. Flame away.

I agree, but I think a lot of people feel betrayed and let down, as no solid explanations are being offered, and, as someone said on a now closed forum, the word "sorry" is sadly lacking.
I agree that the product has to be perfect, but if a release date is released, it should be adheared too.

In my opinion, their products are excellent, but their customer care sucks.
And I'm not talking about the DLC been delayed (that can happen to anybody), but about their attitude towards the fans on these forums.
Speculation, grief and baiting people on these forums are rife, but I guess bad publicity is still publicity. If it works for some, good on them. It doesn't on me; and no matter how excellent their products are I'm not falling for it again.
I'll still buy their products, off the shelf or online, but as far as for DLC's for those products: thank you very much, but no, thank you!
My choice, my freedom, my mind at rest!

I don't think that anybody bought anything that didn't exist, otherwise what is all this fuss about it on these forums? And why are you here to discuss about it too?

I bought the points when 5th of January hit and the DLC was supposed to be released. I am in Europe so I figured that the DLC will be made available at US times, so I bought the points during my business hours. Thought that I'll go home and by that time, maybe couple of hours later, US business hours have started too and the DLC is ready to be downloaded and I have the points to do it.
Instead I found another message on forums saying that forget it, no DLC.
Same here. I was actually checking the forums every few minutes when it was delayed, because I was waiting for people to say the PC version was out.
Ah well

I haven't bought any points. If something comes out that I want, i'll buy as many as I need to buy it. Until then, why buy points I might not want to use?
Because I wasn't counting on the time difference and didn't expect Bioware to announce the delay just a few hours before it's release. I had a lovely night dreaming about it, but in the morning it wasn't there.
Woe on me for living in Europe and putting faith in this company; it's easily done! It'll never happen again with Bioware, trust me. I've learned my lesson. As I said above, not because it was delayed, but because of their poor customer care.
I will not change my attitude towards all companies though, as some do have excellent customer care. This is just my opinion about Bioware and how I will act to any future transactions with them.

Ah wellIf the PC version is still out today, then I'd say it'll be out by 7pm UK time. Hopefully.
Can only hope that it will. Delaying the PC version too would seriously turn this all in a debacle (if it's not one already), not to mention exacerbate further the anti-console sentment between the PC gamers in the community.

All this fuss over RtO though... I know I will enjoy the little quest once I finally play it, but since I have been following these forums for the past couple of days and seen how worked up everyone is over the delays, it's going to feel funny finishing the thing in 30 minutes as well... So much raging and impatience for a small thing like that.

They don't expire, so what's the deal?
No deal. I was just curious. Doesn't seem like they're going to get a whole lot more after release so why not delay it indefinately?

I have a lot of trouble spending real money for fake money, and then using fake money to buy things. I'd rather just use my real money to buy the thing. Then again, I haven't bought any DLC for any game ever, so it would have to be particularly amazing.

It's not so much that people are putting money down for something that does not exist, but rather they readily put the money down with the faith and expectation that Bioware would deliver. I know I did and was disappointed. I'm a long time customer of Bioware, own just about every single title since BG. I bought the points without hesitation when they announced the DLC (did not look into ME's DLC's issues. I didn't bother with them.) Mea culpa--I won't do it again. Delays are one thing, fecal matter happens. However, the way this company handled its customers in the wake of not being able to deliver RtO is just disappointing for this long time fan to watch.
