Rarely. If several people are already talking, I might join in, or if something happens in-game that I need to apologize for/explain, I will. Other than that ... meh.

My voice is reserved for friends. Every one else has to prove they are worthy if they want to be serenaded.

I have one, but never use it.

Most people who enter my lobby with a mic is instantly muted. I don't like listening to them ramble, and I assume it's the same the other way around.
And before anyone gives me that "it encourages co-operative gameplay" crap, you should know that I'm on Xbox.

I don't know, maybe I'm just an awful person.

Never with PUGs, and I'm usually too shy to talk to online friends. If any real life friends played ME3, I would talk every game.

Nope. Not with pugs.

Ill talk with certain individuals when I need to. It is easier that way.

Most people just complain about the way I play. Use too many missiles, didnt use enough.didnt score enough, scored too high, dont like my kit, i didnt revive them etc. Dont feel like dealing with that.

I have a headset which i use if I'm playing late or if I know the people I am playing with. But generally I do not have the mic on. I'll only talk if others are, or if something crucial is about to happen like "PHANTOM BEHIND YOU!!!"

In game voice is terrible. Clarity is poor, half the time I have to readjust mic boost bc people claim they can't hear.

And yet with teamspeak it works fine...

I use it with friends (I only have friends who I know in real life) and if I'm bored and everyone else is using one, I MAY use it with a PUG.
i once played with a random guy who had a mic on, said nothing, but blared a few seconds of ACDC through it at the end of each wave. pretty damn cool.

I play sometimes with a woman who has a voice modifier and she makes herself sound like a three year old, but she cusses like a sailor. I am laughing so hard I have to mute the mic.

I use it. Usually to communicate locations of enemies or to warn someone to watch out behind them or something. I had one match where one guy apparently didn't like me communicating in a co-op game. All he kept saying was "shut up shut up" Then his friend who was playing and had a mic did nothing but mumble into his mic the entire match, literally mumbling, and didn't use push to talk.

I'm on PC, I only use my mic when someone talks to me when I come into a lobby. VERY rarely do I begin a conversation.

I find it odd when it's just me and 3 other random guys/girls and one of them feels the need to have their mic on, blaring out nothing but music/static. I've only ever turned it on (rarely at that) when I need to explain something, or for the occasional dart into platinum.

You haven't lived until you heard French rap blasting throughout the game... strange and confusing times were had by all, well maybe just me!

Nope.

Either: A) I'm trying to immerse myself in the fantasy of it, and hearing what most PuGs have to say doesn't help.

or B) The small chance they'll strategize is offset by the small chance that they're annoying/obnoxious/bigoted/11 years old.

Whichever you prefer... :D

(I turn on the microphone with friends, which arguably doesn't help much, since Microsoft mic's noise filter causes it to shut itself off every 5-10 seconds.)

EDIT: Above applies to PuGging in general, not so much to ME 3 MP, where people are much cooler than the rest of XBL.

I hate my voice, ME3 makes me sound like a little boy. Which leads to insults and other stupid stuff. And then they figure out I'm a girl and that sometimes leads to other stupid stuff.. so no, I don't really use my mic with pugs.
Btw, you have the coolest accent Crimson..
