Most people who enter my lobby with a mic is instantly muted. I don't like listening to them ramble, and I assume it's the same the other way around.
And before anyone gives me that "it encourages co-operative gameplay" crap, you should know that I'm on Xbox.
I don't know, maybe I'm just an awful person.

Ill talk with certain individuals when I need to. It is easier that way.
Most people just complain about the way I play. Use too many missiles, didnt use enough.didnt score enough, scored too high, dont like my kit, i didnt revive them etc. Dont feel like dealing with that.

i once played with a random guy who had a mic on, said nothing, but blared a few seconds of ACDC through it at the end of each wave. pretty damn cool.

You haven't lived until you heard French rap blasting throughout the game... strange and confusing times were had by all, well maybe just me!

Either: A) I'm trying to immerse myself in the fantasy of it, and hearing what most PuGs have to say doesn't help.
or
Whichever you prefer...
(I turn on the microphone with friends, which arguably doesn't help much, since Microsoft mic's noise filter causes it to shut itself off every 5-10 seconds.)
EDIT: Above applies to PuGging in general, not so much to ME 3 MP, where people are much cooler than the rest of XBL.

My mic finally died because it could handle it.
