Only if I see others talking in a PUG.   I only use the mic to initiate conversation, when I play in a party.  Most PUGs are camera shy anyways.. so there's no point in even plugging it in.  No one talks or theres a rare occaision they do.  Not worth it.

Guuuuurl that's nonsense you have a very feminine voice, I've been mistaken for a boy too in game so I know that pain!:crying::P Also stop trying to make me blush dammit! You have a cool accent too, don't deny it!<3

Played with you once while you were talking over the mic, and you didn't sound like a little boy at all.;)

Thanks guys! But I've heard myself.. Not cool. <_<

Sabientje67 (whatshouldIcallyou?), must play again with you sometime. Didn't even know you had a mic.

Edit: Oh.. to edit my original response (or this one whatever), I do yell out the occasional "Get in the hack!"

None of my RL friends are gamers, so I use my mic with PUGs- it's how I've made my ME3 friends on PS3.  When in a PUG where I don't know anyone, I don't tend to speak unless spoken to, but I'll chime in if the peeps in the lobby are friendly.

My contribution to PUGs is usually "Hey!" "Thanks!" and "Fifteen seconds, guys". If someone talks back I'll talk though.

I only use it if there are other people in the lobby with mics or someone is about to get bulldozed by a mob they didn't see.

I do have a mic!  I use it to warn people of banshees and phantoms that might be sneaking up, or if there is a nasty turret in a location they might blindly run into. Sometimes I will chat with someone else who has a mic, usually when a wave is wrapping up.
I also use it to thank people for pulling me up. ^_^

A nice person... bah you liar!:P

It is a horrid condition, I know... it just takes too much effort to be mean. plus I figure if I thank them for pulling me up, I am more likely to be pulled up in the future.

I hate my voice, ME3 makes me sound like a little boy. Which leads to insults and other stupid stuff. And then they figure out I'm a girl and that sometimes leads to other stupid stuff.. so no, I don't really use my mic with pugs.
Btw, you have the coolest accent Crimson..

Yep the majority of my friends list are bums from the BSN too! And the rest is a handful of mic'd Pugs I picked up along the way!<3

Yes, in PUGs, I'll still warn people if a banshee sneaks up or when there's 10 seconds left before extraction, etc. A little courtesy never hurts, supposedly.

The same here but I like my voice it is not my fault that kids do not recognise gender by voice and make inappropriate remarks :P So I usually do not use my mic unless somebody else does - I can justified myself by saying that generally pugs are silent on PC.

If I host, I leave it on till I start the game then turn it off if no one else turns one on. When I join I only turn it on if someone else has one.

No.

The few times I have spoken in a PUG I've been met with silence.

That is of course until another game where one of the members of the team speaks up and everyone hears a female speaking in which case everyone starts talking.

Jeeessssuuuuswhyyyy.

I have yet to figure out why my mic does not work for ME3 MP. So, I can't talk to PUGs or friends at all.

The first (and, I guess, only) time I played with Upinya and Invader Nemesis, there were about 7 people in the Chat Party.

I barely spoke (I had no idea who most of them were, and it was hard to follow everything) except whenever I revived someone, or rocketed a Banshee in the middle of synch-killing someone, I'd yell "White Knight!"

I have no idea if they even knew it was me saying that. :P

I've been kicked for not using my mic even though I was in a party on the 360.
I only use it for people I know.

I always have my mic. But most PUGS do not use them. It is refreshing when a PUG actually uses mics to warn each other and plan.

On the other hand, if folks are screaming into the mic b/c they got downed, or carrying on a conversation with someone not in the game, or is blaring music or coughing nonstop in my ear, then I mute the headphones.
