I met a nice German(?) chap who insisted over and over that reaching certain N7 ratings will unlock increased missile/gel/ops pack/medigel capacity. When I explained about the 6/6/6/6 caps and the fact that the upgrades are just rare cards he told me I was wrong cause he saw a guy who had 8 missiles. So I explained about armored compartments. He said that's not how those worked. I even explained how some early players unlocked up to 10 of each consumable, but was told that was wrong as well. Sigh. Good luck promoting your way to upgrades guy.

I'm guilty of some amazingly bad/stupid play in stretches. When I'm lagging badly, all it takes is one mistake - wandering out into a relatively open area without checking my sixes - to start amazingly long chains of death. The worst I can remember is on reactor/collectors, dying/gelling/being revived FIVE TIMES in a row, usually with no time elapsed between deaths on my end (revived, one step, dead again).

 well at least you did the right thing, that guy was just too stubborn in is own opinion, leave him to it and sooner or later he will realize you were right.

Ran into someone farming Condor a few nights ago. I just ran out to be killed each wave and spent my time making tea and listening to the RT podcast. They wiped on wave 7 with the top score being 40k. MLG **** right there.
