Could have done better Bioware. I didn't buy your DLC.

If you didn't buy it then how can you truly judge the performance of the DLC?

I've read plenty of descriptions on here.

Suckered implies that I couldn't afford the DLC, but did it anyways. Which is completely contrary, considering $15 bucks is chump change to someone who's got a decent job.

And the Citadel DLC was worth it, btw. (Also, you're so 2012 about the endings. We've moved on. You should too.)

Pretty craptastic way to judge it. I was hoping that you at least youtube'd some of it.

I'm getting a little sick of all the backslapping posts that have been going on... we need a backlash post or two like mine to counter them all... I didn't buy the Citadel DLC (cash grab) because it didn't effect the outcome of the game.  There is still a tarnish on this series that will never go away for a great many people.

My question is who didn't buy Citadel and why?

I didn't because I wasn't going to give new Bioware/EA more money for something that honestly either should have been in the game already or never been made (doesn't make sense).  Love letter to the fans? Really? Are you guys that deluded?

I'm glad this wasn't part of the shipped game, it just would not have worked.

Some things, not matter how dire, just aren't important enough to care about.

It's either so vital that it should have been in everyone's game or so awful that it shoudln't have been made at all.

Dude.... can't you decide which one of these you actually believe?

The ending is **** and will forever be ****.

We tried to fight it. We lost.

I caved and bought it. Wasn't worth the price tag. But it did get me a few laughs.

You refuse to buy it. Power to you.

Ultimately though, you must realize both of us affected precisely dick.

People will eat up anything BioWare throws at them. Granted, these are also the same people who think DA2 and SWTOR are good games and that BioWare are the masters of interactive story telling, and that ME is the best sci-fi IP in the world, etc, etc, so on and so forth.

I'm jealous of those who liked ME3 and the DLC, really, truly I am.

As something of a fan of a decent comeback, I have to point out that that clip is of a child's reaction to adult speech. Dunno if that's the point you want to make.

I'd never heard of Bioware until Mass Effect. Not into dragony-swordy stuff and don't like Star Wars so ill never even buy those games.
Shoots your theory down a little.

I feel bad for those who don't since everyone's been disappointed by something (game/music/film/TV show)

Not... Exactly. It's just a representation of me falling asleep while reading the OP.

I played the DA2 demo and I thought it was boring.

Mass Effect is the only Bioware series I'm currently invested in and I liked ME3 and the DLC.

Your generalizations are hella false.

I still haven't bought it for the same reason. Don't get me wrong, I'm really tempted. I love the content that I've seen. I'm a sucker for this kind of stuff. ME3 was not worth what I paid for it in my eyes. (Subjective value, I know.)

But I understand what the OP is saying. This DLC really is in the end just here to meet the quota that needs to be met under the EA contract. (At least they did something good with this one- blatantly fanservicy for appeasement or not.) It's something we've seen blatantly since the day 1 DLC that could/should have been a part of the game since it was obviously designed within it. (Jesus, your signature is distracting, nrobbiec.)

I know I'm going to break down and buy it, but is irksome to know that I'll be feeding in to the problem. I don't think there's any real reason to make fun of him for it. Heh. I see his point, even if I am going to pay the $15 I don't really have to do it. Sorry, I don't have a decent job, but I will once I graduate in May. Healthcare industry racks up a lot of debt, but it pays off in the end. ;) I would like to point out that $15 is a lot of money for a DLC in my eyes. Maybe I'm just accustomed to actual expansions that are that price. But I guess it's not so bad since it's the only DLC I will ever buy for the game. Sigh.

Your loss.

Out of curiosity, what compelling thing did you do with the fifteen bucks? You can't even buy two meals at McDonalds for that.

steam makes that kind of argument invald :P
You'd easily find something worthwhile under $15

Actually that kind of bolsters my argument.  You can buy a DLC for $15 that takes you 20 hours or more to complete, or you can buy really cheap food that is gone in 10 minutes.  Hell, I paid $400 for a meal not that long ago and throughout I was thinking how many PSPs I could have bought for the 2 hours I spent.

I also finally bought Assassin's Creed 1 for about $5 on Steam, and haven't made it out of the first town.  Witcher 2 is sitting on my hard drive unplayed.  The price you pay for entertainment with DLC like Citadel is really very very cheap in the larger picture.  And DLC is inherently more valuable to me, because I don't have to learn a new control set (which is why AC1 and Witcher 2 are not getting played)

Which makes the OP's point really really dumb.

Almost every game I've bought on steam has costed £5 or less (sometimes as part of a batch deal). There arre tons of excellent games that you can get for $15  you check at the right time. Currently you can get Saints  Row 3 or Worms Reloaded for under £10, which i'm guessing is about $15?

Technically wouldn't a new ending DLC be the Cash Grab? Besides a new ending would most likely be a lose/lose situation

Jack was worth every penny.

It hasn't changed my overall dissatisfaction of ME3 tho. But I don't regret buying this DLC.

When did any of the mass effect dlc affect that games ending? Answer is it didn't. Going to other BW games I can't think of one dlc that changed how that game ends. Haters just going to hate.
