People will eat up anything BioWare throws at them. Granted, these are also the same people who think DA2 and SWTOR are good games and that BioWare are the masters of interactive story telling, and that ME is the best sci-fi IP in the world, etc, etc, so on and so forth.

I'm jealous of those who liked ME3 and the DLC, really, truly I am.

I'd never heard of Bioware until Mass Effect. Not into dragony-swordy stuff and don't like Star Wars so ill never even buy those games.
Shoots your theory down a little.

same here, i only know bioware for ME, though i'm unsure as to whether i'll ever get ME4 (if ME3 is anything to go by)

Well if you have a ps4 or xbox 720 and Gamefly you can always rent it :3

You're welcome :D

.. I'm going back to playing ME with a lonely Infiltrator ManShep to capture some of that glory m'self. *shakefist* Sorry. Off topic. I'm going to forum hell now. :( *sneaks off and.. promises to finish patient research later*

If you're on PC Shep doesn't need to be lonely.

I'm getting a little sick of all the backslapping posts that have been going on... we need a backlash post or two like mine to counter them all... I didn't buy the Citadel DLC (cash grab) because it didn't effect the outcome of the game.  There is still a tarnish on this series that will never go away for a great many people.

My question is who didn't buy Citadel and why?

I didn't because I wasn't going to give new Bioware/EA more money for something that honestly either should have been in the game already or never been made (doesn't make sense).  Love letter to the fans? Really? Are you guys that deluded?

Rumor has it that you can download any DLC you want without having to pay for them. I mean, I woundn't know for sure and I don't know if it is legal, but if it is, it would be a great opportunity to play the DLCs and still stay true to the oath never to give moneys to companies that don't deliver and are arrogant towards their fanbase.

You shouldn't do this, however, if it isn't legal. Again, I don't know for certain about this issue, cause I'm not too busy to inform myself. Illegal things are bad mkay? So don't do this if it isn't legal. Maybe other forum members know better than me.

I do find it hilarious how many people "instantly forgive" Bioware for that rubbish that is ME3 due to the fanservice DLC lol

I didn't buy Citadel dlc either. didn't buy Omega. I did purchase Leviathan, and I feel bad about it really. it fleshes out the story a little, but the end is still broken. Leviathan really felt like it should have been there from the beginning. just my opinions of course. if you bought dlc and liked them that doesn't look bad on you, just like it doesn't look bad on me for not purchasing them. the OP is abrasive and not a good way to share ideas.

I played the DA2 demo and I thought it was boring.

Mass Effect is the only Bioware series I'm currently invested in and I liked ME3 and the DLC.

Your generalizations are hella false.

I thought DA2 was OK. DA:O was another league, of course, but DA2 was entertaining and OK. ME3 however is broken. It is entertaining up until the last 10 minutes. But these last 10 minutes are so bad, they ruin the entire series beyond repair. Tha's why I hate it. It destroys the meaning of ME1 and ME2.

I am currently replaying the trilogy and realize with every step I take, with every quest I solve, with every character I meet that ME3's ending was a horrible thing. It is insulting and goes against everything the franchise and Shepard stood fore. If DA2 was bad, ME3's ending is the antichrist of games. And I don't even believe in the antichrist... oh lord

OP lot of fire being sent your way, but I can totally see your point.

Personally, Citadel DLC is a blast, I have every DLC BioWare has ever released for DA 1,2 ME1,2,3 including Awakening both on PC and 360.

All of that said, the ending of ME3 is an abomination that should be excised.

It's been interesting to see the shift in BSN since Citadel. Most backlashers left and it seems the only fish in the water now are all anti-backlashers circling for a bit of chum (backlasher post) to feel relevant with. Quite entertaining...

@AlanC9 I certainly can't keep up. The oldest just finished the latest Tomb Raider and is currently as I type this playing GOW: Judgement. the youngest is doing his WoW dailies. 2 out of 3 are Dean's List, so no complaints here.

But, as wonderful as the Citadel DLC is, not only doesn't it affect the game, it doesn't fit in the game really and certainly doesn't help that ridiculous ending.

I didn't buy it (or any of the other DLCs) because it didn't address my main problem with ME3 - an ending that feels completely out of place.

Although, I did watch a Citadel DLC playthrough. The mission was OK, the party and squad interactions were great, but it just wasn't enough for me to go back to Mass Effect.

OP, while I can understand your point of view, if you don't like Citadel DLC then you don't like Mass Effect, it's simple. It was a good ride..............

It is pretty disgusting to see people who vehemently hated the endings just give in and continue to support Bioware. All they are doing is sending the message that Bioware can continue to do this in the future because you will just buy whatever they throw at you anyway.

If you liked the endings or have moved on and don't care anymore, then by all means buy the DLC. But if you think Bioware made a mistake and should own up to it, then you are doing yourself and everyone else who thinks the same as you a huge disservice by supporting Bioware's actions and telling them it is ok to continue doing this in the future.

Whether people agree with your stance or not, it is good to see that some people actually are willing to stand up for what they believe in, even if they know it won't make a difference.
