Rofl.  You're allowed to be critical, I care that he's mad and Bioware cares (lol) as well, they wouldn't be able to become better developers if everything spit out was positive, you need to make mistakes to become better at what you love doing.

. We will see if they learned if DA:I has an "artistic" ending.

I'm more concerned if they learned to not rush their product.

A sense of entitlement is everywhere these days. The content was made after the final game. They took in a lot of suggestions from the fans while making this DLC. it's all optional content that you don't need to purchase in the first place.. It's one thing to withhold contents like hidden contents that are in the game but just need to unlock with a "key" code like the hooded jacket, it's another thing when they develop everything from scratch.

. With EA, it's doubtful.  But Dragon Age doesn't have quite the fanbase ME does.... I think.  They might have a bit more time.

@Burnham1 Because I support the company of BioWare. I believe the ending is the fault of possibly two men, and I will not diss an entire company based on "speculation for everyone" ramblings. From personal experience with my two sons, however, I can convincingly see the OP's point.

That is why I decided to use the word vehemently to describe how much they hated the endings. Lots of people hated the endings but are able to look past them and move on like yourself.

It is the people who swore off buying Bioware products due to the ending and Bioware's response to the fan's hatred that is disturbing. People giving up on their views just because Bioware refused to accomodate. If you can't stand up for what you believe in, then you stand for nothing.

There are far more people who hated the endings but were not sworn off of Bioware then people who hated the endings so much they were willing to swear off Bioware completely.

So whether I agree or disagree with the OP is irrelevant. I just admire anyone who is willing to stand for what they believe in and am disheartened by those who are so easy to give up.

They're less vocal, but about the same. Were you here when DAII was released, it was basically the same as ME3's ending fiasco, except with the whole 'everyone is bi' nonsense. It was just as crowded. I'm not as into the Dragon Age franchise as Mass Effect, but I did enjoy Origins and ][.

. Never got DA: O or DA: II. I'm considering trying it out.

But did that really match the inferno that was ME3's ending?  That would genuinely surprise me.

Sheds a tear because people didn't like the ending or the DLCs.

Oh well, maybe you guys can go major in Computer Science and create you own games and come up with the endings you want. As for me, I will await the next Bioware game with excitement. To each his/her own.

DA2 did not match ME3's endings. DA2 was pretty bad but Mass Effect 3 striked main stream headlines with the retake movement. The Mass Effect endings were a bigger deal then the Sim City fiasco going on right now, and that is bigger than the outcry for DA2 as well.

It was just as bad, since well, as an invididual, you can relate to sexuality obviously, but where as ME3, I'm no hero and I'm not out trying to force green, anyway - so in regards to the whole bi argument becoming personal, I think it was personally worse, since some arguments got really heated and the own individual's personal stuff mixed in.  I didn't see anyone swearing out Bioware at that time... so I don't know, doesn't really matter now.

Firstly, those who thought BioWare would drastically change the ending after the EC are the truly deluded ones. It's just people genuinely not understanding the apparent purpose of the EC and the intent of BioWare. To think they'd scrap extended ending after all of the time and profitless work that went into it is absurd. But enough of that.

An attempt to "balance out" positive opinions with your negative opinions (and obviously biased ones, since your goal is for them to be negative) is petty and immature. Had you actually played the DLC with even marginally realistic expectations and then offered thoughtful, polite, and well thought-out criticism, then it'd be perfectly fine to have and voice negative opinions.

As it stands, you come off as yet another bitter sod incapable of moving on from/accepting the canon endings.

While he could have constructed his post better, if he is unsatisfied that the DLC is not post game, that could be valuable feedback, I have even seen game journalists report that it is weird.

Personally, I love it, possibly the best value for money DLC apart from Shivering Isles, a full on PC like expansion.

Consequently BioWare is still in deep.  The EC was a band-aid that worked for many.  But I'm willing to bet a significant number of people, myself included, are going to be much more wary of BioWare games.  Honestly it might have worked out better if BioWare had changed the endings around.

I think the OP meant to say that he downloaded it anyway, but just didn't want to pay. Personally, this DLC should have been the actual ending, but that's just my opinion.

That being said, point well made. All those "go cry somewhere else" crowd is missing the point. If people didn't care about the game, they wouldn't be bothered to say anything.

My ideal would be a slight alteration to the form and voice of the Catalyst and the removal of Synthesis. A wee bit more expostion, and a tweak to Shepard's previous attitude towards Control would've gone a long way to improving the ending. Throw in some squadmate opinions, give Shepard the option to more remorsefully make his choice (after all, you are irrevocably and unknowingly changing the galaxy forever) and I'd be very satisfied. As it stands, though, I can work my way around that...IN MY MIND.

Didn't buy it either... it would just make the endings that more worse. The DLC looks good. I'm glad Bioware listen to some of their fans for once and actually deliver a product that merits its price tag. Even though the Clone plot was cliche as hell... but the party from what I've seen is worth it alone. Still kinda surprise Samara did a 180 and became romanceable... I dunno if that is character assassination... or I so want my femshep to ditch Liara for her...

Trebek is a Canadian, but yes the show is American.

It's a reasonably entertaining trivia game.
