Recently I saw a fanmade picture of Liara carrying a blue baby to femshep who was recovering from her final battle.. I almost cried.. wanted this ending so badly...
Even though you cant change that much about the me3 ending, I still enjoy playing the different ways to get there..

Back to main topic:
I bought the Citadel Dlc.. like all the others and it was soooooooooo great... loved the character interactions.. (grunt <3... i totally agree with shepard^^)
I would probably buy more dlcs if they would make more..

Do you really think BW didnt realize that they made a mistake with the ending?
You "punish" yourself when you skip the dlc..
and btw... if they had add more endings the same ppl crying here would still cry... Now there is a great Dlc and most ppl will remember me3 like that..

Ps:

I kinda agree with OP. Did not buy a single DLC, did not even bother playing the EC.

I enjoy my games, its not often that I bother to replay a game that I completed. But I did replay Mass Effect 1 and 2, but no amount of DLC will make me reply Mass Effect 3. Its just not worth it, knowing how it all ends regardless of what I do.

The different ways to get there are still a lot of fun. Some ppl are too focused on the ending that they dont see what a great game me3 was overall.

Firstly, those who thought BioWare would drastically change the ending after the EC are the truly deluded ones. It's just people genuinely not understanding the apparent purpose of the EC and the intent of BioWare. To think they'd scrap extended ending after all of the time and profitless work that went into it is absurd. But enough of that.

An attempt to "balance out" positive opinions with your negative opinions (and obviously biased ones, since your goal is for them to be negative) is petty and immature. Had you actually played the DLC with even marginally realistic expectations and then offered thoughtful, polite, and well thought-out criticism, then it'd be perfectly fine to have and voice negative opinions.

As it stands, you come off as yet another bitter sod incapable of moving on from/accepting the canon endings.

I've enjoyed all the responses to this thread... minus this one.  I was critical of this DLC and all of them to be frank because they were cash grabs IMO.  While I understand many were happy with the lastest/last DLC I wanted to see how many took it as the last straw/slap in the face by EAware.  Whether you like the tone/quality/PCness of my post is irrelevant... time to come down off your high horse pal.

In what way is the ME3 DLC a "cash-grab" when compared to other DLC? You continue to claim the DLC is a cash-grab and state that as your reason for not purchasing it, yet you never define how it's a cash-grab.

Are you joking?  What do you call Omega?  A DLC cash grab to me is simple... adding a piece of content to the main game that should have been there already... or is just cool looking and will get suckers to buy.  I get it that people were happy to see their fav. characters get one last send off... but for those that cared about this series and wanted true justice to prevail over how EA/HudMacson obliterated ME3's finale it was pretty aggravating and honestly patronizing as hell.

What do you call Dawnguard? The Secret Armory of General Knoxx? Old World Blues? The Passing (for console, of course)? What DLC doesn't fall under those parameters?

Your loss.

Out of curiosity, what compelling thing did you do with the fifteen bucks? You can't even buy two meals at McDonalds for that.

14 double cheeseburgers
1 large soda

You're welcome.

"its patronizing that they didnt cave into my every demand.  I'm the game designer its me."

why do people give a **** about the ending it already happened.  you cant rewrite history.

why do people think that having a mass effect 4 is a good thing?  The entire point of this game was to end the story.  why cant we have endings?

how can there be a continuation from any of the endings considering how the rannoch and even tuchunka missions can turn out.  You can sabotage the cure, let a bomb detonate on tuchunka, let eve die, let the quarians all die (or geth) and people are focused on the ENDING of the game not allowing a continuation?  The reapers are the penultimate threat, bioware has said from before ME1 came out that this would be a trilogy with a clear ending.

Its not an ending if its "to be continued?"

what part of "There is no canon" dont you understand?  How many pre-me3 interviews does casey hudson have to give about  that topic before you'll GET it?  my quarians are all dead.  theres no way there can be a continuation where they're all alive without betraying the entire trilogy.  they might as well just make sequels for all 3 endings if they're going to pick the one "where shepard lives"  Why do you want another game with shepard in it i'm sick of dragging that ****ing save arround to every harddrive i own.  shepard's done.  get over it.  there was never going to be a 4th shepard game and you'd know this if you paid attention to any pre-release coverage of the game.

Damnit I wanted that as the secret ending.  You know the one where Star Brat reveals himself to be Jenkins... who was alive this whole time controlling the reapers!?!?  Jenkins ftw.

I'm getting a little sick of all the backslapping posts that have been going on... we need a backlash post or two like mine to counter them all... I didn't buy the Citadel DLC (cash grab) because it didn't effect the outcome of the game.  There is still a tarnish on this series that will never go away for a great many people.

My question is who didn't buy Citadel and why?

I didn't because I wasn't going to give new Bioware/EA more money for something that honestly either should have been in the game already or never been made (doesn't make sense).  Love letter to the fans? Really? Are you guys that deluded?

The problem is you interpret it that way. It's basically their way of unf*cking the ending without explicitly changing it. I agree with you about the RGB completely, but really man, just put it behind you. When they screw up again, call them out on it- I'll prolly be doing so as well- but at this juncture complaining won't do anything but add the the huge pile they already have at their feet. They're aware that they made some poor decisions and that their CM's have been stirring the pot as well, so at this point going forward, the ball is in their court to show us that this past year was just a series of unfortunate events and not the new company policy. Give 'em time to breathe and prove they have learned from The Sh*tstom of 2012.

Honestly hes allowed to voice his opinion, even if its perceived to be full of "hate"

On a side note the word "hate" or "haters" is reaching the point where its so overused that its loosing its bite

Well I have no problem with arguing against his opinion, But alot of people are putting it to his "hate" its a lazy cop out argument.
They reference irrelevant videos, they use the age old fallacie "if you don't love it, then leave".

There is no rationality behind it, and its fustrating.
recently there were a couple of threads which were along the lines of "thank you, bioware" this thread counteracts that.

My final thought:
Debate is a good thing, it shows intellect and allows us to understand eachother, but whats going on here is basically akin to bullying a person into submission.

Your argument is not a rational one, to be fair his is not one either.

I am curious how you bridge the gab between calling him immature and at the same time calling this a "hate" thread, wouldn't you techniquely be immature yourself.:P

I do have a final thought, Why is a "love" thread not considered equally immature, they are threads run by a singular emotion that defies all rationality.

You CAN get that ending very easily: MEHEM is the answer you seek.  MEHEM will cure all that ailes you.  It improves in quality with every iteration.  It is now at v0.3.
