All Mass Effect and Dragon Age titles are on sale, along with ME1's Pinnacle Station DLC. The prices seem extremely reasonable, so if anyone's been on the fence on any of these games, I suggest you check it out.

Unfortunately, no DLC for any of the other games are on sale due to them being bought with BioWare Points, which aren't on sale.

It's a shame the DLC isn't on sale, it's the only thing I'd have been interested in.

Well... for those who don't have From Ashes dlc on pc, the digital deluxe upgrade is 5$.

So it's something.

At least EA put something up for sale.

That alone is a miracle enough :P

Steam sells ME1 for less than 9.99 and the DLCs for it are free.

I guess now's as good a time as any to check out that Dragon Age: Origins everyone was talking about a few years back.

Ah, yes. EA's "Look, shiny things! Please forget about the giant fustercluck that was the SimCity launch" Sale.

But hey, if you can pick up some good deals out of the it, might as well make the best of it.

purchased Dragon Age 2. I hate DA:O (was a cheap NWN2 Ripoff, woulda rather played NWN2), but hey, for $6, I'll take the risk!

I think I have a very different idea to op of what a reasonable price is. for example Far cry 3 is selling on origin for 66 dollars, when just 2 days ago steam had it for 35. Granted I am probably looking at Australian origin prices but that said steam only does worldwide prices a few dollars apart.

Getting involved with origin just results in a quagmire of hurt for the consumer

Not your fault (or any other consumer) they really screwed you over in that disaster.

Honestly you deserved a refund if you wanted it

Putting the games dirt cheap and and keeping the DLC at full price seems like a good practice to me. I'm willing to buy more because if I don't like it it was cheap anyway and still pay the money they want for the full experience if I really like it.

In the end it's kinda like the episodic model TWD is pushing, but EA is bad and blah blah blah.

I Take full responsibility for my own purchases, I mean, nobody put a gun to my head and told me I had to buy SimCity, I just bought it thinking Maxis' baby would be at least a lot less Crash-prone than SimCity 4 was (and that game crashed more than an NPC driver in Grand Theft Auto).  Either way, it was a decent little "we ****ed up big, here, have a freebie on the house" by Electronic Arts, and it got me Battlefield 3.
From what I've read, Electronic Arts' Public Relations department has a legendarily bad reputation. But recently, it seems someone at EA has been lighting fires under feet and chairs trying to improve Customer Opinions. Mind you, they have a very LONG way to go if they're trying to compete with the likes of Valve Software (who, at the time of this writing, still haven't made Half-Life 2: Episode 3), but its better than doing nothing.

The "gun to the head argument" does not apply.

You were entitled (I hate that word, but this is one of the few times its relevant) to a working product on the day you bought it. Hence you deserved a refund if you wanted it.
Them offering free games is irrelevant, them "doing their best" is irrelevant, them taking off there shirts and doing gangham style for your amusement is irrelevant, your legally allowed to have it.

but the point is mute because you are pleased with EA peace offering, and that is fair enough :)

good thing with you telling us , seems like bioware never sends us any emails regarding their games even tho we are registered with them for ages . if not for you we might have not known about this.
there is a thing there called "mass effect : the final hours" and costs 2GBP lol o.O

Even I wouldn't say I hated Origins, but give it a shot.  If the recycled areas don't ruin the experience, you may enjoy it.  Happy gaming.

Seems the new EA CEO isn't as big a douche as the last one.

Still won't be touching origin though seeing as you can get code attacked through it xD

Remember when the guy at EA in charge of Origin liked to talk **** about how Steam sales devalued IPs and were destroying the industry?

Good stuff.

Haha! SimCity fans thought they would be getting a free $60 game, turns out scumbag EA puts all their titles on sale to lessen the cost of this hit.

They truly are a shameless and repulsive money grabbing business. EA makes Activision look like a caring old granny.

I see at least four games I'll be buying on the cheap. Anyone who's too bitter to save money is an idiot.

I wish they could dot some promo for DLC too...
DLC are like games; some people get more tempted to buy them at lower rate.

I want to try Battlefields 3, do you think it's worth it? I heard a lot of mixed reviews.
