I want to try Battlefields 3, do you think it's worth it? I heard a lot of mixed reviews.

It depends if you like shooters or not.  I personally find it to be one of the better shooters on the market currently.  The combat is very intense if you're not used to online pvp shooters but I like that because of the class system you can still have success even if you're not the best shot (like me).

Most of the game modes are also much more team focused than the basic team death match, although that is there if you're into it.

I would recommend it if you're into shooters.  Its hard at first but it is still enjoyable and becomes a lot better once you learn the feel of the game.

The quarterly, "It's the end of fiscal quarter, buy so we can pad the quarterly financial results sale".

Works great in this industry because the marginal cost of an additional copy sold is $0 so the selling price goes straight to the bottom line.

or maybe it's the

"Pad the bottom line so it doesn't look so bad and we can recruit an outsider to be CEO of this mess Sale."

Yeah.

Um, any chance this will be reflected on PSN/XBL? I want to buy all of the remaining ME3 DLC within the next few months, but would much rather wait for a discount.

I see at least four games I'll be buying on the cheap. Anyone who's too bitter to save money is an idiot.

hey bigmouth , if i want to save money I DON'T BUY ANY GAMES!!! get it? YOU DO NOT SAVE MONEY BY BUYING HALF PRICED GAMES , YOU ONLY SPEND THEM. i had to type it in caps so you get some sense in your brains.
maybe that economical bs is working with elderly retired people. not with the rest of 90% of us.

It's a real shame DA 2's DLCs aren't on sale, because currently they cost as much as the game itself :D

Though it will hopefully happen one day, because I won't buy them now (the story DLCs cost 27 $/€ in total).

As for Pinnacle Station, I don't need it after getting the Arena with the new DLC.

You save money by buying things at a discount instead of at full price so long as you inevitably buy said things regardless.  I didn't type that in caps because I doubt your stupidity would in any way be cured by my choice of font.

Wow.  Even by BSN standards this is a bit much.

good thing with you telling us , seems like bioware never sends us any emails regarding their games even tho we are registered with them for ages . if not for you we might have not known about this.
there is a thing there called "mass effect : the final hours" and costs 2GBP lol o.O

FYI, this was a good thing. EA emails go right to my spam box these days.

Don't count on it, Mass Effect 2 DLC is still full priced.
Anyway, didn't come in to complain, it's the second big sale on Origin in a very short time and I appreciate it.

Poor old Pinnacle Station. I assume there is no mechanism in place for putting ME2/ME3 DLC on sale.

"Player Appreciation Sale"

EA must be in a dire situation if they are putting the two first words willingly together.

Thanks for the heads up! Been waiting for the opportunity to... uh... get my **** handed to me again on pinnacle station on the PC.

PS. Is the ME3 dog and hoodie worth it?

PPS: Well, I got it. $2.50 poorer, and now for the grind...

Consumption Encouragement Pricecut was the original title but Riticello is no longer allowing them to use anything with his creative input on it, so they had to come up with something humane while they select a new overlord.

The dog wanders around the shuttle bay and Shepard will say a few words to the dog when interacted. Not really worth much. It's nothing like the dog in Dragon age.

The hoodie (casual outfit I presume) is...well... a casual outfit. Probably more worth than the dog.

The dog was really disappointing, the hoodie was great though :)

Does anyone know if EA is going to drop the prices on the Xbox Live DLC?
