Yeah, I never seen the series. I remember being scared when I was a little kid (was scared of aliens back in the day) but now I want to saddle up and watch the series in it's whole.

I know there are movies for the x-files, I think two, when should I watch them, in respect to the chronolgical order of things to the series, I read somewhere I should watch the first movie between season 5 and 6, and I am assuming the second movie is wayyyy after the finale aired or what not.

Anyway, is that right? Also, no spoilers. Alsox2, I am not asking for a review or what not; just give me the order.

Thanks.

Yep, the movie is between season 5 and 6.

I'm almost jealous, I'd love to watch the series again without knowing how every episode ends.

"The truth is out there."

I felt someone should say it.

Watch the series in order. The first three seasons are my favorite.

The series can be quite haunting even if you''re an adult...
It's seriously probably one of the best things ever that was produced for TV.

Think about the movies if you get through four seasons and you're still enjoying yourself. Personally, I liked all the monster-of-the-week stuff, and disliked most of the "alien mythology" stuff, which is what wound up making it into the first movie. Didn't see any second movie.

The "Detour" episode really creeped me out. I watched it late at night and one part caught me...off-guard.

Wasn't a watcher myself. I did catch the opening of an episode where a guy kept seeing things in an elevator's LED display - creepy and funny at the same time.

If I recall, the second movie was not well received by fans, critics or the general public.
