Totally different kits. Stealthy poison strikes vs punching heads off of mooks.

The lack of shield restore puts the Cabal in a terrible position. The poison effects are effective but mediocre compared to some of the other traits Batarians exhibit. I am more i gunslinger/sniper myself and hate using powers so i prefer bailout moves like Charge and cloak when things get rough rather then brute force powers. I prefer ranged combat myself.

One of the two can restore barriers at will without ending up in sync-kill range.  Hint: not the batarian.

Cabal is fun, but brawler is more effective at vanguarding. Cabal is more hit and run, brawler can actually tank like a vanguard, and tank well.

I just recently discovered the joys of Lash + Claymore point blank to enemy while they are struggling to get back up at your feet... priceless

Rank 6 of Biotic focus acts as AR AND gives a second long invincibility frame. Her DPS depends on her weapon and ammo, and with Incendiary IV she can dish out pain with the best of em. Add in her ability to teleport and you've got perhaps the  most survivable character in the game. A map like FBW is her version of heaven.
