It is a great primer for starters when applied a ammo(inferno for example) while doing as much damage as a harrier while weighing less. With the Drell your can prime then set of explosions like a boss.

I can see the value in that, but it does quite a bit less damage than the Harrier, even with the rank 6 multiplicative bonus to sniper rifles. So if you wanted a high damage weapon that can apply ammo well (and can afford heavy weapons), I'd choose the Particle Rifle. If the ramp-up messes with power synergy, then I'd pick the CSR.

i really want it to be as good as it seems... but it sprays as wildly as an un-neutered cat.

Applied with the HVB barrel gives it only a 140% recharge speed. Without it it's about 190% (if I recall). It's mostly for casters though and even Harrier X and PPR are too heavy.

the problem is, no caster wants to be scoped in for every shot

Regular Human Soldier specced 4/6/6/6/4 with Cryo Ammo.

The thing about SRs is that they always apply the ammo effect, the Indra is light and you can really spam Conc Shot whilst using it and you've got Adrenaline Rush to reload and increase the damage... it's strangely effective.

Srsly.

Agreed.
I just took it out with the vanilla human engineer and enjoyed it.

It works on everything since it's so light with decent damage.

That was my point. Infiltrators can afford to carry the PPR/Harrier/CSR as cooldown doesn't matter, so the Indra is a clearly inferior option on them. And I do like the Indra on casters, but I prefer the Wraith, Acolyte, Talon or Hurricane.

I didn't say that it's the best choice. Anyone who has played with me using the InfiDrell knows I only play with the Indra and knows that it is good with it. All I'm saying is do not disregard it.

I used to run it on the Destroyer a long time ago, now I run it on the Huntress but not often.

I agree. Indra's not bad damage-wise, and you don;t need a stunner like Overload, Sabotage, or Energy Drain to get most of your shots in.

I use it on the Human Engineer. No reason other than I just find it enjoyable on him vs adept casters.

fair nuff. I'm not disregarding the gun. The infidrell seems like a good fit for the Indra actually, since cloak bonus + set stuff on fire with incindiary + detonate recon mine sounds like a creative build.

i used to use it with phasics vs Geth on my casters when they changed the mechanics of the acolyte and I was looking for an anti-shield replacement. The only problem I had with it was the necessity to either scope, or suffer the hip fire penalty.

Also really good at setting ammo powers. I like it on the Human Engineer.

It's also good for pin-pointing what enemies you want to hit with a power from a distance.  Great on just about every Engineer.

You could pretty much use it on any kit.  Great gun.  A little iffy on Plat though...

This setup is actually a ton of fun.  I might have to dust him off later tonight...

Works well on any non-CQC power spammer: ARush, Marksman, Tac Cloak, Warp/Throw, Incinerate/Overload, etc. It'll work in CQC too if you're comfortable looking them in the eye under magnification.

I've been having fun with it lately on my Salarian Engineer. Great for priming if used with an ammo power, and light enough to not effect power usage much.

The Turians, with their passives, turn it into a headshot monster--as they do with most weapons. If I wasn't so wedded to my Saber on them, I'd run with it more often.

EDIT:  I always run the HVB and spare thermal clip on it
