Well, it's better than nothing. At least for those who always wanted to get with James.

I disagree completely. Coercing James into getting drunk enough to sleep with Shepard is not better than nothing.

Girls get exclusive access to Traynor. Girls win.

Because men and women are completely interchangeable and that's why everyone on the world is bisexual. And that's why all the straight guy gamers chose Cortez over Liara. They did, right? That's a thing?

How many of those girls you listed need to have "If you romanced her in ME2" attached?

True, but non of them dump you for that **** Brynn.

Why so bitter? Jacob was an uninteresting character anyways. I think it's good that some npcs have a life outside of the 'cult of Shepard'.

James has an interesting worthwhile relationship in ME2.

If you don't give in to all his prize stuff, he starts with all this emotional talk and says he loves you!!!
Then Brynn seduces him and rubs it in your face that he still has feelings for you...

I don't care really. I don't like James. But I read that some players were happy to get with him.

Seriously, with Jacob dumping you for some mean ****. James flirting with you but never going anywhere. No male love interest i you didn't save Kaiden or romance Garrus.

Being rejected by friggin Joker if you show interest in him!

It doesn't feel to me like they just didn't take their female audience into account, it feels like they specifically want to torture the poor girls who wanted to play Mass Effect and dare have fun with it...

isnt it more realistic for characters to resist your flirting?  Even in ME2 I tried to hit on james and just got turned off by his crappy attitude.  Asking him to open up to you gets him to shut you out because he's just kind of a ****ty guy.

You might as well demand that samantha traynor be bisexual so male shepards can "have her" too.  part of whats fun is when these characters feel like their own person.  real people dont always just cave in to people.  they have their own lives and their own idea of what's best for themselves.

Besides, girls get thane, garrus, traynor, and yeah liara and kaiden  (technically javik and james too)....half of the maleshep's romances are crummy compared to that list.  (Best we got is jack and cortez)

If you don't care, then why are you telling people how to feel about it? Boredom?

Agreed. In fact it might be worse than nothing. If james didn't want it, I would be totally cool with his feelings.

no it doesnt matter how james feels, it only matters how I THE PLAYER feels.  i should control the entire game, surrender free will unto the shepard.

Edit: Removed GIF

Jacob was considered by many on BSN to be the worst romance/LI (based solo on my opinion from various threads over the past couple years.)

Jacob is removed as a romance/LI due to those complaints. And now there are complaints about him being removed.

I was actually disappointed that FemShep could not have a LI relationship with Ashley, but I am a dude.

does his romance get weird in 3 if you import a shepard who's with him already?

See, way I figure it, some characters shouldn't swing both ways because real people don't always. And some people who do swing both ways should be more reluctant about it, in general, or about this particular person.

And some people who are interested in your gender shouldn't actually be interested in you, for one reason or another.

Were they not good in DA2? I haven't romanced Fenris or Anders yet.

I was always under the impression that DA was nicer about gender equality in romance...

My snark was aimed at ME3 not the dragon age series :P

DA2 was very fair (like its predecessor) when it came to female and male players it just needed more content (the whole game did really) I also never felt "punished" for picking a female hawke or warden so I have faith that DA3 will continue that trend.

She should of had maybe one or two more human male love interests, that would have made it a whole lot better, cause by the way they have made it now it pretty much seems they want your Shepard to be either gay or with an alien

is the dialogue consistent or inconsistent?  (ie: does he still act like he's just now coming onto you?)

No, he refers to manshep as the person he loved. A couple of Shepard's lines aren't recorded apart from one bit on Mars when he tells Kaidan Cerberus didn't change how he felt about him.

Is it even arguable that straight Femsheps don't have worse options than straight Dudesheps? As another poster pointed out, it's entirely possible and very easy to have 0 romance possibilities with a straight Femshep, while straight Dudesheps have Liara (for a relationship) and Allers (for a fling) no matter what.

I mean... that's kinda crappy no matter how you look at it. And I don't think people want all the characters ever to be automatically romanceable, but it's reasonable to expect that if EVERY male LI is either going to be dead/otherwise unavailable, a new one be added in to make up for it. I mean, I don't see how this is difficult to understand? I'm a diehard Garrusmancer, so I've never had an issue with the ME3 LIs, but I wouldn't think it's helpful to just tell my fellow female gamers to just romance Garrus and get over it. They just want choices the way male gamers (or gamers who choose to play a straight male Shepard) get choices. Pretty reasonable, I think.

Let's face it: Femshep would break Joker if they ever made love.

She's got implants second grade only to Reaper upgrades, remember?

Not to mention, getting into a love triangle with your own ship would be bad...

People hating on Liara is just angry because remove Liara and it STILL doesn't solve the problem. Yes, otherwise, OP. Thane dies. Fanservice Thane dies. But fanservice Liara doesn't. That's why the haet. Of course fanservice Garrus does just fine. Still, not exactly equal here in number of femshep romances that are available or seem to turn out well.

Personally, if Miranda dumped manshep, it would have made MORE sense. She's freaking trying to save her sister. Would make sense that she would say something like, "I can't think about this right now."

Well, whatever. Apparently only 18% of the audience chooses FemShep to play. Which is sad. And then people also start yelling about how much of that 18% is made up of men (personally, I don't think it should matter, because if you are already assuming people should play the same gender, then you are already turning a blind eye). If we are going to base things on demographics, then video games are doomed to never open up to different audiences.
