The OP bought the points, perhaps, that's all.

I can't actually see Return to Ostagar as available downloadable content; how are you guys seeing it? I go to "Downloadable Content" in the DAO main menu, but all I see is Soldier's Peak.

Hmmm. I still wasn't seeing RtO in my menu to buy before I left for work this morning (I've had the points for it for quite some time). I just figured it still wasn't available for PC (I keep hearing conflicting reports out in the blog-o-sphere).

I downloaded my Return to Ostagar and it told me that I have to have game version 1.02 to play. I'm currently on 1.02a and it says Wrong Version...anyone know a fix?

No change.  Same today as yesterday.  No release date.  Original "Holidays" estimate was delayed during those same holidays.  Next estimated date of Jan 5Th arrived, but the "delayed" announcement (again) had already been issued.

As a result of the combination of amateur quality work, and sheer incompetence, the web site is littered with detritus predating the various "delayed" announcements, which contradict the actual situation fairly frequently, and the web site personnel haven't made a thorough cleanup yet.

Microsoft had a version of the Xbox 360 add-on that they started making available Wednesday, but it was faulty, and Bioware asked them to withdraw it.  Before it was determined that the Microsoft download had been corrupted (or whatever is was that had happened in that regard), there had been an acknowledgment from Bioware's Chris Priestley that Xbox gamers were getting their copy, so Bioware might release something for the PC later that day.

By late evening, a sufficient number of trouble reports had come in from those with the Xbox version that it was witdrawn, and so was the idea of any PC release of the DLC.  That leaves the situation back where it was on January 5th: "no announced release schedule".

I just downloaded it but it says It requires 1.02. I have 1.02a and it says my version is out of date and I need to download the newest version.

I'm curious... Do all you guys use Steam version of Dragon Age: Origins? (the ones with the DLC being available)

I bought the game...not by steam. I have the hard copy. I downloaded RTO a couple hours ago and it says my game version is out of date, that it requires 1.02. I have 1.02a. So it can't be out of date, I removed it from my game and now it shows up under available content again.

Return to Ostagar has not been released. If you're having problems its because of that.

If you download one of the direct links to the .dazip files, that can cause your game to start offering it to you, but as you have found out that doesn't mean you can get it working.

Just because it might be showing up in your client as Available, it unfortunately doesn't mean that its officially released and can be installed. It showing up as Available appears to just be a glitch with the way the game determines what content to offer up to you. Hold on and be patient, that's all any of us can do.
