Is there a way to find the completed mods/add ons that have been completed?  The current way of searching through the projects isn't really very user friendly.

Seconded. I really think this is something that needs to be addressed by the social site managers now that modders are starting to be able to release short module content.

I'd say there's two key requirements:

1) Highly visible method to announce finished Add-In content.

2) Ability to search only on released content. (i.e. exclude projects in development)

Maybe a stickied forum thread for finished mods would be the simplest/most visible way of doing it, for now?

The problem with that is that the number of people visiting the toolset forum would appear (no way to know for sure, seeing as we don't know the # times viewed for each thread) to be significantly less than those visiting the general game forum.  Fewer visitors = fewer players.

But it's still a good idea - any improvement is a good thing.

True, but I don't think there's much chance of getting a stickied thread in the general forums- great though that'd be, they're pretty cluttered as it is, sadly.

I 100% agree with you guys, and actually just made a post about this on the site help forums (where we were directed to make such site improvement threads). I also like the idea of the sticky, until they do make some changes.

Additionally, I received a message from one of my voice actors indicating he doesn't bother reading the toolset forum because he can't post in it because he doesn't have the toolset.

The only reason he knew about this thread was because it popped up in his list because I'd commented on it.

So let me get this straight. There isn't an official place, or A unofficial one, where we can easily find, download and upload mods and modules like in Neverwinter Nights? Seriously?

This is the official place. It just needs some changes, which they confirm they are making.

There's an unofficial place that's currently better right now, which isn't hard to find... just look doctorofdarkness' sig in this thread for one.

I don't mean to be too down on the social site, but hasn't there been some ongoing promise of change for a while now? I'm sure it'll come eventually, but if they could just give priority to creating a filter for projects without files and make the last-update field work, it'd go a long way in smoothing over all the other missing features. Well, at least until people start putting in junk files just to bypass the filter.

Edit: Another idea, but it probably won't catch on, is to put prefixes in your mod title, ES forum style, like "[RELZ] My awesome mod", so people can search for actually released mods that way. But unless players and mod-makers agree on some system... let alone even know about it... Edit: still might be a no-go anyway - apparently the search field doesn't trim whitespace and doesn't handle multiple keywords very well... it seems to just search for exact substrings.

this is the official forum, yes. But official download page without a download section? :P (unless I'm missing something huge, of  course.)

It's called Projects here.
